It was nice to see you as well, 'Dora. Dancing with you was one of the more pleasant moments that afternoon.

Something happened to Ginny? No, I hadn't heard. What sort of "something"? If she's staying with Harry, I'm sure she'll be fine. He won't let anything happen to her. Hermione and Ron are there as well and it's probably just easier for her to be there than over the twins' shop if she requires any amount of convalescing. When you see her, please tell her I send my best and if there's anything I can do, please let me know. For either of you.

I can say the same, it was, well, wonderful really... Thank you, again.

Something happened at an exam I think, an accident... I'm getting full details from her this afternoon, and I promise to let her know you send your love and your helpful hands.

I know Harry will fuss over her better than I can- but I'm a woman with a mission, and he's not stopping me from seeing her, or dodging the annoying questions that will be issued when I get there.

I'll keep you posted if you like. You never answered my question though; do I have to barge over to see you too? And don't fib either- I want to make sure you are doing alright from time to time... even if it becomes bothersome.

An accident during her assessment exams? That doesn't sound right. What could happen in Healers' exams to cause an injury. Yes, please keep me informed.

Has anyone sent word to Severus yet? I think he was expecting to hear from her when her exams were completed.

Question? I missed have missed it. (Just teasing, 'Dora.) I'm fine, no fibbing. I think I may be getting a bit of cabin fever with so much blasted time on my hands now. But, mostly, things are better than I could have expected so soon after war's end.

You've never been a bother, 'Dora.

I promise to let you know as soon as I talk to her, or Harry- or whoever will give me answers. I'm not rightly sure if Snape knows anything... I hardly know anything myself... nor did I know he wanted to hear from her.

Better than you could have expected, Remus? Well, then, that does sound positive... and I'm glad to hear you are fine. So much time? You are more than welcome to work my job for me if you want... it seems like I never have time....anymore.... oh bother. It is what it is.

Well, I'm glad of that too then. But sometimes I really do like 'being' a bother. Gives me a break from being bored. Hehee.

Ah, well, considering what I expected was to still be freezing on the side of a mountain with half a dozen other outcast werewolves, 'better' may not be all that it sounds. But, no, things are well for the most part.

Now there's an idea I'm sure the Ministry would love, a registered werewolf working as an Auror. No, I think I will let you keep your job. I think I'll just go back to wandering from post to post. So long as Severus is willing to allow us to live there at Spinner's End, it won't be as bad as it was before, trying to find work and lodgings.

But, tell me, how are you? You seemed well at the Gala, no lingering effects from your concussion?

You have permission to be a bother whenever you like, you know.

Merlin! I’m sorry- I didn’t mean anything by asking… cripes… I didn’t mean to make it sound like Snape’s place would be considered something worse than what you’ve dealt with in the past…. I’m… I’m sorry ( ... )

Easy, 'Dora. I was teasing you on both counts. I know you didn't mean anything by either statement. Of course, as a registered werewolf, I couldn't help you with your job even if I wanted to. But, I'm not complaining, I promise. No need for apologies.

I guess I don't quite have my old sense of humor back even though the war's over.

I'm sorry you're so stressed. I wish I could help you at work if it would ease some of that for you.

Look, why don't you start abusing that power and come over for a non-working visit? You have to come by this week for the required checks again, I know. But come spend an afternoon just...hanging out. I miss talking just talking to you and I know June would like to see you. It will get you out of the house and the office. You can relax for a couple hours.

It'll be good for you.

Sorry, again. Blasted all... I'm just reading too much into words, and, as always, taking them in the wrong way. Do you think I need to get my head examined again? Cause it sure doesn't seem like it, doesn't it? Gods....

It's not you... I've just, had a lot on my mind, and have been running around like crazy lately... literally... how else did Diagon Alley get cluttered...heh...oh yes, let me slip up and say that....sheesh.

OH Cripes- that is this week, isn't? Oh Gods, It slipped my mind- and to think, I just sent those off a few days ago.... having taken days to finish those up. I don't think the Ministry understands how much harder they are making their employees work with all of these new regulations ( ... )

What I think is that you're working too hard...again.

I don't the Ministry understands much of anything these days. Do you know there are several of that Umbridge woman's regulations still on the books on top of the restrictions of the registry? The philosophy seems to be 'make them destitute and then punish them for trying to survive it'. What is that line from Utopia about first creating a thief and then punishing him for it? That's exactly where the Ministry is headed.

And they're taking their own people down with them.

Just let me know if you will be coming over around dinner time so I can warn Severus. That's the one meal he sees to personally on a regular basis. Any day is fine. Come more than once, if you like. There are nine registered individuals in this house. Even the Ministry can't expect you to get all the checks done in one shot everytime, right? That's a lot of paperwork, after all.
