Falling Pigeons
Joannie, this post is going to totally freak you out. But its soooooo funny! I was sitting in the little cafe in front of San Rufino in Assisi with the Akers, Fr. Solanus, Mary Wingate and a bunch of students. Suddenly it felt like someone had thrown a jacket on the back of my chair, so I turned around to see who it was. Its wasn't a jacket, some stupid pigeon had fallen inbetween my back and hte chair, and it was holding on the the back of my coat! When I stood up it wouldn't go away either! It was so scary! Finally it did fall off, but I was so shocked I couldn't stop laughing, crying and hyperventilating for 10 minutes.
Now that I write it down it doesn't sound so funny, but it was! And no one could figure out for half a second what I was freaking out about because they couldn't see the bird attached to my back! It must have been holding on with its claws or something.
