So this should be interesting. I was sick on Saturday, as some of you know. At first I thought it was food poisoning, despite the fact that I didn't really eat anything that would make sense for me to get food poisoning from, but now I've come up with a more interesting and better idea. I'm pretty sure it was my body shocking me into a change. Ever since then, I've been getting pretty nauseous at eating anything other than fruits and vegetables, sushi, plain bread, and small quantities of ice cream. But mostly I've been craving fruits and vegetables, and that's all I've really wanted for the past week now.
In talking to an aquaitance of mine, she mentioned that she's done a raw food diet for a week or so at a time. So I did some research on the actual "raw/living food" diet, and there's a lot of good stuff in there. Though I won't be switching to something like that completely, I think for a short while at least, I will be eating mostly raw foods. I figure my body wants to go there anyway, so it's probably for a reason. Let it. And it will be a good change from the stuff I've been eating anyway.
So today I went grocery shopping, got a crap ton of produce, along with some nuts and dried fruits and juices, and am going to go for a mostly raw food diet. Lots of different fruits and veggies, lots of smoothies, and lots of juice and nuts. A little bit of some other stuff here and there. And start taking my vitamins again. Seems drastic, I know, but it's really not if you think about it. My body's doing it naturally anyway for the most part. Kind of excited about it really. I'll have to let you all know how it goes.
