What with one thing and another, I've been losing the fannish spark lately. Not the writing, not for fanfic, but the enthusiasm for supporting the source material and participating in fandom, and especially for trying new things that come along. Tired of shows being either cancelled before they tell their story, but after I fall in love with the characters, or being a disappointing whimper on the back of a lot of hype.
Got a little bit of it back today watching the Eleventh Doctor on Sarah Jane Adventures. So, so shiny! Streets ahead of most of the latest season of Doctor Who in terms of raw enjoyment. The big dollop of Whovian fanservice from RTD's pen didn't hurt, either.
