Kyle and I got out of the house today. First we went to Louisville to walk across the Big Four Bridge which was cool and the weather was great. We planned to have pizza for lunch but once we were on the bridge and started smelling the food from Tumbleweed, we changed our minds and Kyle thought it would be cool to eat on the deck. Once we made it across the bridge and back we walked over to Tumbleweed and the deck area was full so we decided we were too hungry to wait and ate inside. Really glad we changed our minds, because about 15 minutes after we sat down the sky opened up and it poured, so much that you couldn't see the bridges!

After lunch we decided to go over to the Falls of the Ohio and check out the fossil beds. Right before we went down the stairs one of the guys working there came over to us and said before we went down the stairs we should check out the bald eagle sitting on the wall thing in the river, so we did. They had a scope to look through and sure enough there was a bald eagle! It was really cool to see one in the wild like that! We then went down and checked out the fossil beds, but they didn't even compare to the bald eagle.

From there we went and bought some fireworks for Thursday and even managed to get some freebies! I told Kyle the day was working in our favor so well, I should go buy a lottery ticket, which I didn't but I was tempted.

We then came home to rest my body until Annette got home from work. My ankle and foot are still numb/asleep (pins and needles) and while walking across the bridge I had to be extra careful not to let my ankle roll and then at the Falls, it did roll numerous times, especially when I'd step on a rock and not really notice it, but I thankfully didn't fall! Annette texted me when she got home, Kyle was going to sell his iPod Touch to Jess. So we headed over to their house and hung out for a little bit. When we got there Annette asked how I was feeling and I told her about the numbness, etc. She said I really needed to get an MRI done :(. I asked if she had any clue how much it would cost and her guesstimate was around $1600! EEK!!!! I guess tomorrow I'll make a few calls about the cost of an MRI and go from there. :(. It sucks. I did ask her if she had any other recommendations for me in the meantime, she just said ice, rest, prednisone taper and Lortab. Then as we were leaving, she was telling me her phone would be off over the weekend as a way to force the hospital to call the doctor on call this weekend instead of her and she offered to give me Dan's number which I turned down.

Lortab is kicking in....time for bed.
