You know its a full moon when:
Caller: Is soenso there?
Me: They're gone for the holiday weekend, the office is closed until Monday.
Caller: So can I talk to someone else?
Me: The office is closed for the holiday weekend, they will all be back Monday, may I take a msg?
Caller: So I can't talk to anyone today?
Me: If this is an emergency that cannot wait before Monday I can try to reach someone, but they'll be back on Monday
Caller: Well it can wait until Monday, but is there anyone I can speak with right now?
and then there's this one:
Caller: I need to know if my pregnant wife can eat shrimp?
Me: Is she allergic?
Caller: I'm reading conflicting information on the internet that it's bad for the baby if she eats shrimp. I really need to talk to a midwife right now.
Me (thinking to self): If it's that important call a doctor! (outloud): Did the midwife tell her she had to avoid certain foods?
Caller: I need to talk to the midwife RIGHT NOW about this.
It's going to be a long 6 hours for the rest of my shift...
