NY Comic Con / NYAF 2010

Oct 14, 2010 14:10

I've been going to NYCC since it started it's local so generally I go, except last year because nothing really appeal to me, This year they brought Bruce F'in Campbell, so yea he was the whole reason I went. I got his autograph and went to his hilarious panel.

For once I actually attended panel's mostly Friday's with the Adult Swim lineup and a DC panel and they actually were all decent.

Saturday was way too freaking crowded, It was more crowded than Chinatown or Times Square, and I think this might have been the first year it sold out. Basically I was like fuck it and just got autographs b/c all the panels I wanted to attend were popular and unless you line an hour or two early or camp out going 3 panels earlier(since they didn't clear rooms) to see it you weren't getting in or a decent seat.

They need to better organize everything at the javits, like how their were two artist alleys, it was sorta hard to find people. Also the bathroom lines were ridiculous I was better leaving the convention and going to like subway.

But overall the con itself minus the ridiculous crowd was fun, they brought in some decent panels this year, and I felt like the best day wasn't a Saturday, it was Friday. Also they had some fun concerts such as Vamps, X Japan, and Puffy (Ami Yumi). I didn't see puffy but I've seen them twice before and there definitely fun in concert, I had a Ticket to Vamps, but didn't go b/c I had tore up my feet had blisters all over them and some cuts, so I really wasn't in the mood for standing another 2 hrs.

Oh just so you know JIM LEE is the man he went through his line of fans to try to give everyone his autograph staying way over time, I wish I could have gotten his autograph but I was already on Bruce's Line and by the time I got off line Jim had to rush to his own panel

I like the con minus me tearing up my feet, and basically fail with every friend meet up.
BTW didn't Cosplay

Next con is Anime USA
