Whirlwind

The last couple of months have really been a whirlwind of activity. I don't even really know where to begin.

A couple of days before classes ended, I came home to a large Touro envelope sitting on my computer and Beth screaming something about my getting into graduate school. I of course came up with some reason why this couldn't be true (mostly since they didn't contact me for an interview) and quickly opened the letter. Sure enough, it was an acceptance to the DPT program. I was originally admitted to the Bay Shore campus, but the let me switch to the NYC campus (for an extra $3000 total). I was also contaced by Hunter for an interview, which was probably the most disastrous 20 minutes of my life. It began with "did you really have ankle surgery?", continued with "explain your inability to learn science," and concluded with "we'll be in touch." It took them over a month to send me my rejection. The only downside to getting my Touro acceptance was my utter lack of motivation to study for finals. But all went well, and I'm now officially a BU alumna. The diploma came in the mail today, and it looks seriously spiffy in its frame (hopefully $120,000 spiffy).

It still feels weird to be home. It feels like I should be going back up to Boston any day now. It's been hitting me in small installments that it's over, but I'm not sure when it will completely sink in.

Marc and I went on vacation at the end of last month and got back a couple of days ago. We took a tour of Budapest, Vienna and Prague for 11 days. It was seriously amazing. The sights were beautiful, the food was fantastic, and it just felt great to be with him all the time. A lot of it was very different from what I expected, but I'd definitely do it over.

Our 3rd anniversary is just around the corner. No big plans yet, mostly since we don't really know LI very well yet. I still can't believe it's been 3 whole years. But I guess time flies when you're having fun :-)

Graduation is just about three months away. I'll be heading up to Boston for at least the weekend. I'm still waiting on the list of activities to make my final arrangements.

Speaking of, I'm currently working as a PT aide at Metro Comprehensive PT. The pay could be better, but it's a decent paycheck and the job isn't bad. I was at Orlin and Cohen for a grand total of two days. Granted, first my ankle swelled and I was on bed rest for a week, and then I got sick and was put on rest orders for another week. Then I found the other job and just quit. Long story short, it was a pretty awful place, but I'd rather not get into details.

Anyhow, that's all for me.
