I made eggplant parmesan today and I have to say it was pretty damn good for never making it before. Although I cant take credit for the tomato sauce that went on it; I stole that from another class. Im going to some career conference tomorrow. It's almost a waist of my time because Im not looking for a job right now, but I guess I can practice on my people/interview skills and its also good "networking" as some like to put it. Im putting in some volunteer hours with my instructors after the career conference and on Friday. Im helping her prep sauces for some kind of event going on this weekend. One of my regrets in high school was not being involved in anything, so before coming here I told myself I would do that. So, Special Functions Team is my noble attempt at getting involved. Its all volunteer work and its great experience. You get to work with the chefs on a more one on one level. It will be great for practicing my knife cuts. I actually had two chefs fighting over me today about who I was going to help on Friday. Sorry guys, theres only one of me, maybe next time. (Just kidding...kind of.) Anyway I have to finish some stupid shit for that thing tomorrow and try to get some sleep.
p.s. Im having an awesome time, I wish I had more friends away from school, I need a car, I need more money. I finally have an address to receive mail. I will email it to those who want it and to some who may not.
