Today I watched one of my best friends almost die. Like, seriously. He had a severe asthma attack while already having a lung infection. He collapsed and nearly went into a seizure in my car, trying to breathe. I rushed him to the ER, at some random hospital near wherever we were in the cities, and held his hand while they stuck him with needles and shoved air down his throat. I've never taken a wedding ring off so fast in my life, to make sure I could go back there with him. He's okay now, thanks to hours of forced breathing and medicine. But damn.

It was... insane. Just insane.
