The usefulness of Facebook

Ok some of you, I'll give you time to stop laughing............... and I don't care if you're not done (fuckers <3).

So, this weekend is kind of a scary milestone for me. 10 year high school reunion on Saturday night. holy shit. When did that happen? I guess about the same time everyone started getting married and having kids - close to having friend/couple number 3 having a baby and in fact she's overdue!

I'm still kind of interested to find out what's going on with old people from high school. I know I ended up getting a bit attached to seeing all of them every day, even if way back I either didn't hang around certain people as much as I would've liked to or didn't enjoy others company. A lot can change in 10 years. I know for one I was pretty retarded (oh hey, irony) back then.

That leads me to Facebook, which is useful simply because almost our entire reunion was planned on it. I've never been into all the gadgets and shit you can add, but I'm glad it allowed the organizers to find everyone easily. So I've seen a lot of what people are up to, but Facebook sure as hell isn't as good as face-to-face.

...Hm. Not entirely sure if I'm where I thought I'd be in 10 years. I'm sure I say that with a tinge of disappointment, but at the same time, I'm not entirely sure I really gave it all that much thought, to be honest. I need to make plans, as much as I hate doing it. It'll focus me onto something - though for the time being my focus really needs to organizing my shit for getting out on my own. It's one of those times, though, that kind of reminds you that you're pretty gimped up. :D

But that'll all come together. This weekend will definitely be... enlightening. Now taking bets on percentage of former classmates who have families of their own.
