Purple Passion DV8, the great fetish and SM store in New York City, has been hit hard by the economic downturn. So it's time for us as a community to either visit the shop on West 20th St. or buy something through their official website: http://www.purplepassion.com. To make the bite easier, they're having a major sale of up to 20%-30% off some items.

If anyone is wondering why I'm suddenly pimping so hard for Hilton's wonderful SM emporium, then you need to know some of my personal history:

• The owner taught me the basics of what I know about canes.
  
• I've attended and taught classes in his basement.
  
• The TES Board used to meet in his basement. It has since been exorcised.
  
• I went to a rally for Barbara Nitke in her fight against Alberto Gonzales and the US Government there.
  

Hilton's store is more than just a shop. It is a key location in the New York scene and its loss would be heart-breaking. Things are tough right now, but it's time to pony up and help out this great educator, dedicated scene volunteer, and one of the nicest men I know.
