So in the middle of getting packed for Leather Retreat, here's a quick word about Pride Weekend, Leather Pride Night and Folsom Street East!
We had an awesome time at LPN this year. Skipped the auction but donated plenty this year--including some nice toys. Worked the door for an hour with
volund and
catelynn and James from GMSMA. Then chilled out downstairs, and
green_kohai got a cool hat and a bear pride shirt for her Paul-bear. Yay. Saw a lot of good friends, old friends and a few long lost faces in the crowd. Welcome back if you're reading this.
Oh and I wore my awesome black Chippewa boots with the green laces, fatigue pants, vest and a TES volunteer shirt. I looked pretty good I think. Brandon did a hell of a job blacking them!
Then had a fulsome Folsom! We got dressed and GK looked amazing. Completing her outfit, new WORX by Red Wing boots. She earned them, putting up with my shit. I love you, honey. Congrats.
After a stop for really good Middle Eastern food, we got there just as the weather was starting to threaten, did a quick circuit of the fair and then I reported for two hours floater duty for GMSMA (mostly working the 11th Avenue entrance) while she did some time at the TES table.
This was my first Folsom in a kilt. Also, vest and red Crucible LF&P shirt (the one with the pissing elephant). I wore my OTHER (shiny black) Chippewa firefighter boots. And again, Brandon did a stellar job on them. I slipped him a double tip and said:
"OK, honey--your turn in the chair."
(For those of you who don't understand that we do not have a D/s dynamic, that's as close as I get to giving my partner an actual order. Hehehehe.)
And my girlfriend got her first proper leather boots done. Only fair as she gave me the ones in the green laces.
Then we went for Thai food at a little joint around the corner from Paddles, just as the deluge hit. We were happy, tired and we cabbed home.
All for now and Happy PRIDE
