Justice

So, i've read some Terry Prachett.

In Mort, a boy named Mort is apprenticed to Death. Often, Mort will complain that the people who are dying have done nothing wrong, nothing to deserve death, and Death replies "There is no Justice, there's Just Us."

Huh, i said to myself.

That implies that there is no innate justice in the world, that things won't "just work themsleves out," or any other kind of karmic system. That palces the responsibility that thigs go right squarely in our hands, doesn't it?

Also, i tbought about something the other day. Why do bad things happen to good people? They don't. Once, a guy came up to Jesus, the perfect person etc., and said, "Good Rabbai, what must I do to find slavation?" And Jesus said, "Why do you call me good? No one is good." Jesus said that. He went on to say "Sell all you own and give the money to the poor," but that's another story, i think. So, no one's good, everyone's a little screwed up, or outright broken. So, bad things happen, by and large, to bad people. HOWEVER! Sometimes, good things happen to bad people. Be thankful that rain falls on the good and bad, rich and poor alike. Does crap happen to you all the time? Count it all joy! Good things have and will happen to you, too, because God didn't create a world governed by Justice, thank God. He created a world governed by Himself, and He has the best ideas.

So, next time on Greg is Justice, we will discuss the poor, the downtrodden, the oppressed, and the Justice of God.

Remember, no marriage outside of wedlock!
