-Fashion is what one wears oneself; what is unfashiomable is what other people wear. Other people are quite dreadful.

-I love talking about nothing, its the only thing I know anything about.

-Do you understand what you say?
-Yes, if I listen intently. *baaaaarrrrrr*

-Did you miss me?
-Awfully
-Then I'm sorry I did not stay away longer, I like being missed.
-How very selfish, and yet you are always telling me about your bad qualities.
-I haven't told you the half of them yet.
-Really?! Are the others very bad?
-Quite dreadful
-Well I must tell you that I like your bad qualities and would not have you part with a single one.
-Which shows you admire good taste.

-The fact is father, that this is not my day for talking seriously. I am very sorry, but it tis not my day.
-What do you mean?
-I mean the June season father. I only talk serious on the first Tuesday of every month.

-Why don't you call me Lara?
-I don't like the name.
-You used to adore it.
-Yes, that is why.

-Father! Is it important?
-Why of course it is important!
-You see, I've recently made a resolution to not recieve visitors on Thursday from 7 to 9 in the evening.
-Glad to here it, I can't stand interruptions. Is there a draft in this room?
-No sir.
-I feel a draft. I feel it distinctly.
-So do I sir. Why don't you go home?

-Seriousness would be very unbecoming to you. Pray, be as trivial as you can
-I'm afraid i'm a little out of practice this morning
-Will you be there tonight?
-I've received no invitation.
-You have now.
-*cute shrug and grin*
-As long as you promise not to be too serious.
-I swear on my life to be utterly trivial and never keep my word.
-In that case I'd be delighted for you to come.

-I have no one else to talk to (talking to a statue). I'm so full of infromation, I feel like the latest edition of something.

-What are you doing here? Wasting your time again I see.
-*sigh*, Father, one pays a visit for the purpose of wasting other people's time and not ones own.

*sigh* . . . i want to marry this man . . . to bad he's not any more real than the prince charmings you read about in fairy tales . . . all the good guys are only in stories . . . this is why I have to find an actor . . . you figure they have to learn something from playing the "ideal husband" (this is the play all these quotes are from)
