Twas the night of Vicky's party, when all through the house

Not a creature was silent, not even the mute mouse

The streamers were hung by the TV with care

In hopes that Vicky Yue soon would be there

(some of kt's and my decorating skills . . . yeah it was pretty sweet)

The children were all crazy and far away from their beds

While visions of cake and alcohol danced in their heads

(yummy chocolate chip cake withe chocolate chip icing and outlined w/ chocolate chips . . . i have awful handwriting so kt did the lettering, but i pimped the film strip . . . oh yeah)

(the boozer of the group)

And Wolverine in his tight suit, and Heather with her crack

Had just settled down for a long night's crap

When out in the living room there arose such a chatter,

Shawna sprang from her seat to take advantage of the matter.

(Shawna . . . grey shirt . . . contemplating plan of action after losing dead bodies game)

Away to the table she flew like a flash,

Tore open the cd book and searched through the stash.

(note:peaceful looking cd collection on the table before it is attacked)

When what to her wondering eyes should appear,

But the source of her true love that she holds oh so dear,

With a little old smirk, so lively and quick,

We knew right away that it must be U2 that she did pick.

Not, SNT Richer! not, RHC peppers! not Wheezer and Hillary Rodham Clinton!

On Hewson with Stewart! on Mullen the kid! on, Evans' guitar and Calyton!

To the top of the charts! to the top of the wall!

Dance away! dance away! dance away all!

(Shawna slipping by cd security measures)

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,

Down the music came with an awful sound.

Her eyes --- how they twinkled so gay!  her dimples how merry were they!

Her cheeks were like roses kissed by the sun, her nose like a cherry all wrinkled with fun!

Her drowl little mouth was drawn uo like a bow,

Until she saw me and her face became as white as the snow;

The stump of a little old bat I held tight and gritted my teeth,

And smoke went around and around and around my head like a wreath

She had a broad face and a little round belly

That shook with fright like a bowl full of jelly.

A twitch of my eye and a twist of her head

Soon gave her to know she had plenty to dread

She spoke not a word but went straight to her "work"

And I replaced the cd, not feeling at all like a jerk.
