Food diaring for 22nd Sep:

Following Slimming World/Easy Extra
Breakfast: small portion muesli (B option) with raspberries and banana
Snack: 2 hard boiled eggs, broccolli
Lunch: 1 baked potato, quorn, peppers, home-made sauce with toms/garlic/onion. Maybe some other veg? Can't remember.
Dinner: rice, curry made with lean meat/vegetables/toms plus oil. (Oil estimated sin value: 6)
Snack2: 37g Maltesers (9.5 sins)
Snack3: 1 slice toast with 1 tbsp peanut butter and banana (9.5 sins)

I wasn't happy with Snack3, but I'm not going to give myself a hard time about it. I was hungry an hour after I went to bed, and was too tired to make some 'free' food like pasta or baked potato. I went over my sin limit by 10 sins. My daily allowance is 15. The real name for them is 'syns' which is supposed to mean synergy, but that's a load of guff: their original name was sins.

I did a small amount of exercise: walked through the side streets from Bloomsbury to Whitechapel via Clerkenwell/Finsbury/the city. It was a really nice walk, and I did it in 1hr 20 mins or so. 4.5 miles. Couldn't do any more exercise without pain: my thighs are well bruised from the Weightlifting class.

Cleaning thing of the day: How clean is your draining rack/cutlery drainer? Do you have grey sludge where you put your freshly washed cutlery? If so, that's quite easily fixed. Put all the clean crockery/cutlery away. Give your draining rack (including attatched or separate cutlery drainer) a spray with multi-surface cleaner or vinegar on both sides, and leave it to work for a few minutes while you make yourself a cup of tea. Give it a good scrub/rinse, and be sure to check that it is visibly clean. Scrub down the draining board while you're at it.

This can be done in the morning as you're getting ready for work*; it's a really small and quick task, but it is worth the effort.

Some of you have quite grotty draining racks :p

* I do not assume that you all work.
