Flipping DWP!

Aug 09, 2008 09:43

Someone in the Department of Work and Pensions (the people that deal with my benefits) cannot understand the difference between week and month. I typically do not earn more than £15 per week (the limit for people on DLA before they start deducting Income Support pound for pound how much I earn: for example, if I earned £17 per week on average I'd have £2 deducted and get to keep £15). They're taking £30 a week off me now, and they should take up to £2 a week off me! Argh!!!

I am very annoyed! I've already written to them to try and remedy this, got my employer to send a letter to them also. I'm going to go to the Citizens Advice Bureau I think.

It's not so good that I get this letter on the weekend when I can't do anything about it.

$boss, I think I need actual payslips from you from now on, sorry.

work, benefits
