Stuff and things

I'm waiting for a letter from the gender clinic to reach both me and my GP. Hopefully the endocrinologist (who I didn't see) will think that it's ok to go ahead with Testosterone despite my bloodwork being slightly iffy. I'm hoping the psych med-induced prolactin has left my system by now as I've stopped taking the pills that were the likely subject. Don't worry about me having altered my meds this way, I was only taking the resperidone when having panic attacks and I do have other ways to deal with them. Waiting for a big thing that could really change my life is not easy. The doc said it would be three weeks and it's only two weeks since my appointment. So more waiting.

I'm going to the JobcentrePlus in a bit to enrol myself onto Pathways to Work. They give various kinds of support to people with health issues to get back to work. I'm going to give it a try. We'll see how jarring they'll find me being trans. It depends on the individuals I'm dealing with really, some government agencies have really quite enlightened policies nowadays. I may add to this post when I get back.

work, benefits, trans, nhs
