I watched
She's Gotta Have It this morning. I'd not seen it since I was eighteen; we watched it as part of the women's studies course that I took. It's a great film, I wish I had the ability to write about films that I've seen and books that I've read with any kind of aptitude. It's interesting watching it now, with my engagement in the (mostly Internet-based) polyamory community. The lead character is decidedly non-monogamous, and has affairs with three men - two of whom want her to themselves. It's directed by Spike Lee, and his father Bill Lee is in charge of the music. The music is a very strong part of the film, and it's something that's stayed with me for fourteen years.
I like going back to things after spending time growing up, there are things I notice that I didn't when I was a kid.
