Ouch. I am using a character map to type spaces because I spilled coffee on my laptop last night. It really slows my typing speed down! According to Yahoo! I should let it dry out for another 12 hours, but that might mean I won't be able to get it fixed by the time I leave for Nottingham. I really need to have this for Monday, having my laptop with

I completely understand how important laptops are to mental well-being. Hope it gets well soon!

I spilt juice on my laptop about a year and a half back. I've been using a plug-in keyboard ever since!

What worked when R did it was to put a thick towel over the keyboard, close the lid, and turn the whole thing upside down to let the remaining fluid drain out.

Did you have sugar in your coffee?? I find that sugary things demo keyboards more then other liquids.

Either way, hope everything works once it's all dried out.

No sugar in the coffee, but milk (which contains natural sugars)
