I travelled the whole length of a bus route today. It was the 41, I've never got that bus before. I found it quite exciting. I don't particularly like the number though. I travelled from Tottenham Hale to Archway, and then got a 390 from Archway to King's Cross. If the tube strike hadn't have been on I wouldn't have experienced that pleasant bus ride, and the thrill that came with doing the full route. Yes, thrill. It was a rather hilly journey. I was somewhere near Hornsey Rise (where I failed my CBT¹) when I looked across and could see what I thought was Alexandra Palace but may not have been.
I'd been to
Restore to buy some furniture. Gods, there was a lot of choice! I bought a chest of drawers, a small filing cabinet, a desk, a sofa and a small side table for £100. I'll need some help if I need to buy anything more from there in the future, the choice was bewildering. I didn't buy a fridge as they were minging, and only a little bit cheaper than a new one. I may buy a washing machine - I'd definitely want to take someone with me for that, I wouldn't want to make an impulse buy just to get out of there. They are based near Tottenham Hale and their hours are 10-4 Monday to Friday. One has to be referred there, I was referred by St Mungo's. My furniture will be delivered the day before I have house guests.
