Just got back from the Ghosts of the Old City walk. It was ok, but seriously knackering. All that standing about... at 264 pounds it's not exactly comfortable after a while. I forgot most of the stuff the guide came out with (I only remember things like that if I take notes, and I look a divi if I take notes). There were a lot of people as the Vampyre Connexion had publicised it (though they weren't running it). So goths a-plenty! Pretty, pretty people. I wore my camouflage shorts and rainbow jumper, and felt rather colourful (plus socks and sandals for comfort, heh). I felt pretty misanthropic for most of the time, have been feeling like that all day. We had a look at the outside of St Bartholomew's hospital as part of the walk, I've never actually noticed it before - it's really old. Don't ask me to tell you any of the history of it though ;-) Oh, and I got a £1 crip discount.
For some reason, although I knew today is the 27th, I thought it was the first Tuesday of the month and thus shot up to the Blue Posts Pub on Newman Street for the poly meet. But it isn't the first Tuesday of the month, d'oh. I didn't fancy drinking in the pub on my own so I bought some bottles of Adnams Broadside (mm, nice) from Tesco's and got the 24 bus home.
