Let's Start This Thing [Media Post]

It’s a beautiful autumn night in the city, but Celeste Vox has absolutely no idea in her temperature controlled studio. To be honest, she doesn’t much care. What’s another memory of a night that will just fade with so many others compared to another night on the air? She might not love everything she has to do to make sure the regular people don’t have to deal with supernatural, but she loves everything she gets to do on the air. No holding back her voice, no holding back herself.

“Well, my ducks and goslings, it seems we’re in for some pleasant news. The weather seems to be cooling down going on into the weekend, so those of you with the mythical thing called a regular sleep schedule might be able to catch some sun without catching on fire at the same time. As for us more nocturnal creatures, well, who doesn’t like it when the city cools down a little? To celebrate that and the fact summer’s not over yet let’s hear a song you haven’t heard in a while.”

Celeste put on Say Hey and looked over the news clippings. Her combination talk and music would have played in the morning or in time for the drive home in other cities, but in New York she’d found her place in the night, giving a friendly voice to the restless night. And spreading the news she needed to from time to time. It was an easy transition into the station appeasing Party Rock Anthem. Not exactly her thing, but it was energetic. Humpday needed some energy, especially when she had to go into the news.

“Love it or hate it, it’s news time before I go back to the music thing. The court has ruled that Nick Browning, alleged killer of at least eight women, will be tried in the city. Before you get too ghoulish, people, remember that these were real women who lived and breathed and loved and lived, which has me offering congratulations again to the local PD for catching the alleged scumbag. Now let’s go to something a little happier The dedication of six different refurbished playgrounds will be held saturda. Hosted by Alexander Winters memorial fund, each of the playgrounds have been given new accessible equipment and for the dedication, each will have a small carnival for the families who show up. The full list of locations is on the show’s website. If you’ve got a muchkin, take them out. And that’s the big news at the moment. Hope it didn’t give you too much emotional whiplash. If it did, here’s a little music to soothe your savage breast.”

Celeste cued up the next song, keeping the rhythm for the next several hours effortlessly. This may not literally be what she was made for, but it felt like it and she was going to enjoy every moment.
