"Just a girl in the world"

I will be babysitting my five-year-old godniece on a couple of evenings in April. On at least one and preferably both of those evenings, I'd like a fair amount of our time to be spent outside her home but in her neighborhood (Park Slope, near Grand Army Plaza). She likes music and dancing and books and games, and should also eat dinner at some point. I'd like to keep it on the inexpensive side, especially as children, like cats, generally get far more entertainment out of cheap things than expensive things. Any suggestions, other than (weather permitting) running around in the park? This will be my first time taking her out and I don't have kids or live in Brooklyn, so I'm not very familiar with kid-friendly stuff to do in the area.
