Well I am going to get shit for the blog, I’m sure. I would like to thank the Flyer for beating the Lightning. If us losing to the worst time in the NHL is not enough for this management to wake up and smell how bad we stink then nothing will. I want to slap Jay Feaster and Coach Tortorella and say trade someone, anyone and make something happen.
In my humble opinion I would consider the following
Get rid of Coach Ramey, why because he is in charge of specialty teams and we all know that we suck in that department.
Get rid of Cory Sarich , why because he sucks, plain and simple. It is painful to watch him on the ice. How many more mistakes it is going to take?
Get rid of Vaclav Prospal, why because he is having the worst season ever and he is -14. He could not even get lucky with a hooker at this point.
I don’t want to see Fedotenko go but I think the handwriting is on the wall for him.
I don’t care if we have to bring in people from the farm if we can’t make a trade. Do something, anything to stop the bleeding.
And God I hate the fact that we can’t get rid of Brad Richards. My kids skate with more enthusiasm then him. Again it goes back to this is what $7.8 M get us? There are guys in this league making million less and doing a hell of a lot more. Why did we do this to ourselves? We have locked this guy to us and he is a dead weight. Please don’t preach to me what he is able to do; I want to know what the fuck he is going to do now, right now! And to think people actually thought he should be captain. HA!
And speaking of the captain, Tim is another one that should be shown the front door. He is not producing at all and I think his expiration date has come. Hey we can do a Dave on him.
Also why did we get Richardson and Karlsson and then they spend more time on the bench then on the ice. I don’t think they are the answer but again money spent and not being use.
Also can someone anyone explain to me what the purpose of getting Andre Roy was? Did we need to dump $500,000? Did we need a cheerleader and a clown in the locker room? How is this clown/goon/cheerleader going to help this team? Someone, anyone tell me please because I don’t see it.
I think we should bring back Robbie DiMaio even with concussion, I mean it cant hurt this team because most of them seems to play like the have one.
In the 2001-2002 season, the Bolts were 27-40-11-4, with 69 points. This caused them to finish 27th. In 2000-2001, they were 24-47-6-5, earning 59 points and finishing 29th.
As we are now 3 games away from the half way point, we are 17-19-2, having earned only 36 points. This leaves us in 24th place. We are 13th in the east, and the last place eastern team just beat us.
We are on pace to lose 37-45 games this year.
So let’s be happy as this means next years season tickets should be really cheap and we don’t have to worry about getting playoff tickets.
