Catching up on the New Year

Hello new year! I've pretty much ignored most of social media since it started. Not sure why, just have.

Things have been going as usual, nothing new to report. I did get to the doctor yesterday. First day the Doctor's Clinic was in its new building. It was a bit of a cluster. And when I say a bit, I mean a lot. Place looks nice though. Dr. Brown asked if I was getting lost, but I assured him that he was getting more lost. He's used to the old place, been there 30+ and suddenly he's in a new place.

Today I went to fill my one prescription and since I had to wait an hour, I had to kill time in Martin. Not much to in Martin. I stopped by Verizon to see if they had any iPhone 6's thinking that'd be a good way to waste time. Nope. And of course the guy did his best to sell me something else ("I'm not supposed to say this, but Samsung is way better, I'm getting one tomorrow!") Uh-huh. Then I went to WalMart because, there's not much to do in Martin. That killed some time, but not enough.

Next I decided to drive around campus, see how things have changed as I only ever go to one side when I go visit. Turns out, that's the only side (so far) that has had any real changes. On my drive past EPS though, I saw Gibson's car, so I thought I'd go see if he was in. He was! He was working on cleaning up things for classes, which start on Thursday. He even gave me a crinoid to try to identify. It came out of a gravel driveway and I guess there's some attempt to figure out what can actually be identified out of gravels. It's definitely a camerate, but it's so silicified I'll have to really look at it under a scope and start drawing things out to figure what it is.

I also got a book and a tabulate coral :D

I've had a constant headache this year. Part of my NY resolution was to get off Exedrin, which I think I'm addicted to again. You know, I think I've been having lots of rebound headaches. It hasn't been as bad this time as the last time I did it, but the headache has been really constant and the change in weather surely didn't help. I swear Tylenol doesn't do anything for me, and Aleve, which I take for my shoulder (which has been killing me most of vacation) does nothing for my head.

headache, crinoid, doctor, gibson
