New Year
The new year has come. It seems very much like the last, but I'll hold out judgement.
I guess it truly came in with a bang, because I went to bed about 11 on the 31st but was woken by fireworks right at midnight. I was annoyed. Especially when I woke up super early yesterday morning and a couple of weeks of poor sleeping.
UGH.
Last night I popped some benedryl and I actually slept for a full night. FINALLY.
Saw American Hustle on NYE, which was an interesting movie. It seems just odd enough that it'll do well for awards. There was a lot of Amy Adams sideboob, but Jennifer Lawrence was love.
Today I went to see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which I really enjoyed. It was a heartwarming movie and I loved the soundtrack.
I shouldn't have gone to the movies. The weather was very snowy. There was no snow when I went to bed last night, but lots of it when I left at 10:40! It was so much that when I returned to pull into my garage, Bullitt wouldn't go all the way up the drive. I had to shovel off the top part of the drive so I could get him in.
I also got to deal with a minor collision at the stoplight to leave the restaurant/shopping center where the movie theatre is. It happened right in front of me, but I didn't see anything, so it couldn't have been too bad. But, the party involved had to stay in the MIDDLE of the road making all the more dangerous for others to try to pass in the middle of terrible road conditions.
After the middle of the road incident, I decided I didn't really want to be on the road any more, which was when I returned home with trouble getting in. Anyway, I still needed to go to Wal-Mart for leggings, so I walked it. (I actually ended up with tights, which I chose because they felt softer). As I was leaving there was some shit going down. An angry lady was saying she was going to press charges and this other man was all "You deserved it." I have no idea. I wanted to stay and see what was going on, but I didn't, because that's not cool. Still wish I knew though.
Snow keeps coming though. Or it did. I looked outside about 4:30 and couldn't see my footprints on the patio anymore. So...lots of snow!
I hope things calm down and clear out before I have to head to Morgantown on Saturday.
