On things
So, I finally got my own computer- not one to share with my mom, not a laptop from work, but my own that is all my own. I got it for free using my rewards points from hotels I use, but it's mine!!! Yes, Cos uses it some, but thank goodness he's respectful of the fact that this is my machine.
I hate that I'm so dependent on technologies, but these days it's impossible to function without one!
In any case, my hopes are that in having this computer, I'll be able to put forth an actual and valiant effort into moving my career forward. I want to be able to do some event planning on the side- but could you imagine me trying to do anything without a computer? There's only so much you can do on an iPhone...
Anyway, things are getting quite busy with me. I have some traveling to do to San Diego- grandpops is sick (and that's a story and a half) and I have a South Africa reunion coming up next weekend and of course lots of wedding planning with phigmentor- which I am relishing and will be using to build up my organizing and event planning portfolio!
All in all, things are OK. I mean life ain't perfect, but it's pretty good.
Now that I have a laptop, I hope that I'll actually update more often. I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to write in here, but because LJ is blocked at work, I'm left with just thinking it through my head- and that's just not the same.
Oh and work is still good- still like the people- still like the content!
