Accio Deathly Hallows!!
i finally finished harry potter and the deathly hallows. i know, it took me forever but i was stalled because right when it came out i was immersed in the "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman which consists of:
"The Golden Compass"
"The Subtle Knife" and finally
"The Amber Spyglass"
I don't know if any of you have read the series or have seen the movie trailer for "The Golden Compass" coming out this Holiday season. A great bunch of people are in it like Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. At first the first book didn't grab my attention but the movie trailer looked so good that i ploughed through and then in the middle it finally grabbed, hooked, and swallowed me whole.. i read it so quickly that i don't remember the finer details but it was really good and exciting.. a little dark magic as usual..
after i finished that, i couldn't bring myself to read the 7th HP because i couldn't remember what happened in Half-Blood-Prince so I reread it and started reading Deathly Hallows on Wednesday night and only because of stupid school, work, or drinking was i prevented from finishing it straightaway...and now it is saturday evening and i think i had way more fun reading it than if i had gone out like i was planning..
all in all, i gasped, i horrified, i wondered, i frustrated, and i especially cried.. the ending is so brillant.. no disappointment whatsoever except of course that the series is over.. but besides that mountain of doom and gloom, i thought it was great.. i'm so incredibly satisfied..
