my favorite class
omg.. am i updating AGAIN!! whoa..
hmm let's see.. spent the night at val's house yesterday - she picked up around 10-ish.. didn't really talk to jason yesterday because i didn't have my phone and then he was kicking it with his friends... right now i'm at school waiting for my dad to pick me up.. damn i'm still without a car..
i was late for my black studies class today - the first time ever.. because that's the class you get extra-credit for when you have perfect attendance.. on the syllabus it says you can be late two times though and still get the extra credit.. *whew* my class is super funny.. majority of the class is understandly black but there are a few of us that aren't.. me!! hahaha but it's cool.. i really like the subject - pretty crazy huh? i took it last semester just because it's a requirement but i had a choice between two other classes and this is the only one that fit my schedule.. but i liked it a lot and here i am back again for more.. woohoo.. i could probably teach that class.. that's how hardcore i am.. hahaha well anyways there's this 6 ft. blonde all-american looking girl and she's from ALABAMA.. haha she's cool.. she's always talking in class.. she has a lot to say.. it's just a funny contrast to have her in the class.. the other white guy looks a little "scruffy" but he doesn't talk at all and then there's me.. teacher's pet.. haha i did good last semester and i talk to my teacher a lot so i guess it's cool.. i mean there is alot of really "deep" conversations going on in that class because majority of the series is about black history from slavery to the civil rights movement... so it's really just African-American history.. i totally thought it was going to be an all out AFRICAN experience but i guess not... oOOo..i shouldn't say AFRICAN.. my teacher doesn't like that.. he's from New Ghana.. and to say someone is African or someone recgonizes themselves as Africans -- that *beep* you're wrong!! AFRICA is an entire continent made up of smaller countries.. just because someone says they're asian doesn't make them chinese... well that's what MR. K (my teacher) says.. he's PRETTY SMART sometimes.. actually he has really good insight about a lot of stuff and he's very very WISE..
