CALL FOR ARTISTS!!
I haven't posted here in sooo long!! I've been uber busy... but I am looking for artists, performance artists, dancers, musicians, Djs who feel inspired...
On September 8th, for one night only, bluegirl Productions (AKA yours truly) will be taking over an amazing new 4000 SF space, Dreamland Loft, adjacent to downtown LA's warehouse district. It is the perfect "underground" haven for one of my edgy, mind-stimulating, thought provoking art parties! It's close to the 10 Freeway and has plenty of parking! This is guaranteed to be a fun night!
The concept for this art show/party is simply... "Naked."
I would like to explore the word and meaning behind it... not just the obvious, erotic or explicit, but also the thought provoking and pure. Ultimately I would like to show how an expression, feeling, emotion, body of any type or style, object, sound, performance, or anything your creative minds can think of... looks, sounds, feels... when it is in it's simplest, purest, most raw form... when it is "NAKED". And how all things naked compare. A perfect example of an artist who explores this concept in all of his works is Spencer Tunick. When that many nude bodies are put together they all begin to look exactly the same. I'd like to broaden this concept and take it much, much further...

This should be a great, avant guard, underground show/party- and of course I plan to take out an ad in the LA Weekly and get as much exposure from the paper on it as possible. Contact me if you are interested!!
