Coney
Last night I decided to jump on the train to Coney Island to see Bad Ass! at the Beach. What a ride! I suggest that anyone who hasn't done this to do it at least once. A good time would be for the Mermaid Parade at the end of next month (I won't be here). I'll be heading back out there one more time to photograph Insectavora for my book project before leaving for LA. Also shooting Die j! Mars, + Moondust and Malkavich next week. Planning on shooting Gabrielle, Amber Ray and Muffinhead, Anduin, and Richie Rich before I leave. Lots of work to do!
Tomorrow I think I am going to head out to the Burg to check out a gallery and talk to this guy about a show he's planning, and maybe check out a gallery space. Also planning on going up to the South Bronx to check out the situation there and meet with a guy who has a gallery there. Want to tighten up my art scene connections here before leaving. Then hope to come back in the fall to work on more stuff. I'm not giving up on NY just because I'll be living in LA. Just have to juggle a little.
Once of the spaces I am interested in here is not going to be available till Septemeber, so that might just be perfect.
