Yeah, it's really annoying. I wish someone would explain what we're doing and when, especially with regards to Organic/Inorganic where we can't even be sure if we'll be done in a day.
And by the way, do you know when the next informatics practical is due in?
Thanks - oh, I asked Mykola today and apparently the Organic/Inorganic ones kind of work out by showing up whenever you want and you work wherever you want (I can't remember exactly but I think he said you signed something out). You have to do at least one from those you didn't do in the core course, plus there are other ones. I think he said there was some kind of booklet we could pick up that would have details of practicals in on Monday or Tuesday - or might have been Wednesday.
Thanks. :) The booklets are apparently in the Prep room (not sure which one that is, whether it's Mykola's office or the room next door). It has a list of the practicals on offer in it.
I'm dreading the O/I practicals because the lab's going to be so much more full than during Michaelmas. Hopefully that's just needless worrying.
*g* He seemed to think the whole thing was really really obvious when I asked. But oh well. After I dropped the sealing tape in my PEG bath he never was going to think I was the brightest bunny in basket.
Apparently it's not going to be so crowded - I expressed surprise at not having to book days and he said that lots of people won't have many practicals to do (language, writing, maths and so on), and also lots of people don't start that early. And from experience it all works out well. Plus I suppose some people will do four in the physical lab and only two in the O/I lab and so forth...
