A girl died last night from bacterial meningitis. She lived across the path from Mike- she was in our psych class soph year. It's pretty sad, and really weird. Everyone's on antibiotics and pretty nervous. I think she went to the hospital Sunday night, was in a coma by Monday, and died on Wednesday evening.
It feels crazy, really. Apparently she had been out at the bars Friday night, and by Sunday, she was in bad shape. Scary stuff. There are a lot of news people here, and helicopters flying over campus. I guess meningitis is an even bigger deal than I had thought.
So yeah, that's what's up.
