[Bigbang] Getting Dressed in the Dark
Time has come! I've been super excited about this day for about 2 months! And now that I'm here a couple of minutes before the deadline, I'm kinda nervous.
I was lucky enough to get sazzlette as my author and her fic, Getting Dressed in the Dark as my bigbang (spn_j2_bigbang). This was my first priority in the last 2 months, and I'm pleased with the result even though I went through lots of freaking outs and screamings, when I was checking out other artists posts. But today is the time. Posting time, and I cannot be more excited about it (beside the obvious freakout) :)
Summary:Jared and Jensen-mortal enemies throughout high school-never thought that they would eventually end up as stepbrothers when Jensen’s divorced father asks Jared’s widowed mother out to dinner. Becoming a family takes more than sharing a house, but when the boys discover that they’re not as different from each other as they might have thought, being related gets a whole lot more interesting. High school and college bring their share of troubles with girls and schoolwork. But as Jared and Jensen’s perceptions of each other change and grow into something more, will they be prepared for the fallout?
The art can be pretty spoilerish so beware before you check out my post.
And as rules, please, please, do not post this elsewhere. I spent LITERALLY months on this batch of art for the fic and I really would appreciate if you would not edit either of the manips. Thank you :)

Things They Touch, Things are REAL
When I read the fic I was sure I want to make something that is from the fic. That is real, that's something they touch and they related to. That's why this section now :D
- Gig Flyer -
Saz asked me to make a flyer to Chris's gig. First I did a fairly colored version, which she said...uhm, I imagined something more 'university' photocopied version. So I printed this out, photocopied like 6 times and then scanned back, worked on it more and tada! The flyer ;)
So in case you wonder why the simplicity.
- Jared has another dorky running thing on Friday, and Jensen reluctantly agrees to pick him up again after he's done handing out flyers for Chris and Steve" -
Alternative gig flyer, if Jensen would've had a bad bet with Chris, and would've ended up loosing. (What can be more embarrassing than handing out a flyer yourself on it? ;)), riding a spaceship?. LOL

- On the Road, mix by Jared -
After reading it I was desperate to have the mixtape in picture. I asked titheniel (thank you babe!) to take a picture of one of her old cassette cases so I can manip my own writing on it. Well I faked a different handwriting so it's still not my own, but this is a full manip mixtape :).
Also the songs are from the collection of Zoe (godamnarmsrace) and me.
- Jensen shrugs, and holds his hand out. "Okay." Jared watches anxiously while Jensen unwraps the little parcel, and can't help smiling at the way Jensen's face lights up when the cassette tape falls out into his lap. He turns it over in his hands, then glances up at Jared. "You made me a mixtape?" -

- Picture Jensen Grabs -
OH boyzzz. This is a significant picture in the fic, and I had to show how they looked. Young and happy. I think it speaks for itself ;)
- Jensen ducks back into their room and shoves his toothbrush and deodorant and crap into the suitcase, then slams the lid down. His wallet and the keys to his truck are lying on his nightstand along with a picture of him and Jared from New Year's, and he grabs all three before he picks up his suitcase and heads downstairs. -
Epilogue
I haven't painted for at least 3 years and have never drawn human face before. I wanna be better, but I think it turned out good (of course not close to perfect) ;) This picture matches with the epilogue, I would like to believe.

This bigbang was an amazing experience. As an artist and as a human being as well. I've learnt a lot and loved every second of it. Can't wait for the next year sign up to start :)
