Summary: Remus prefers the bed, even in wolf form.
When Snape strode into the bedroom, quite looking forward to a large, warm bed and a soft pillow, he shut the door behind him. Or at least, he tried. Something was stopping it from shutting, and as Severus looked frustratedly at the gap between door and doorframe, he sighed, seeing a grey muzzle nudging the door back open. Watching as a large grey wolf form padded into the room, Severus scowled, "No." He tried to shoo the form back out of the door, partially forgetting that the wolf had a perfectly sentient mind when under the influence of the Wolfsbane Potion.
Remus sat down on his haunches, and stared balefully at Severus. "No," the man said, pointing at the open door. "You have a cold nose, and cold paws, and you drool in your sleep when you're a wolf," he explained, trying to budge Remus. Remus' ears went down, and he whined softly. Snape knew perfectly well that his partner was just faking it, since Lupin was hardly the kind of man to whine when something didn't go his way. His usually well-preserved heart still went rather soft at the sound of it though. "Remus-" he sighed, and Remus whimpered at him, looking the very picture of a perfectly innocent puppy (who also happened to be rather oversized and completely capable of biting a man's head off).
With a shake of his head, Snape gave up, shutting the door and climbing under the covers. He was tired; he didn't want to waste time arguing with Remus. Especially when all Remus was doing was looking at him like he'd stepped on his tail or something. "You sleep over the covers," he muttered, waving his wand so that all the lights went off. "Oof!" The man grunted, as the full weight of the wolf bounded smoothly onto the bed, and then tried to move his legs in vain; they were trapped under Remus' warm and heavy body.
Snape was almost asleep when he felt a slight gust around his feet, and then a lot of scrambling. He suddenly winced, as a cold nose touched his calf, then felt Remus nuzzle him in apology. Silly wolf. Man .Wooolf... yawn. Snape felt himself drifting off, just as Remus curled up into a warm little ball around his legs, cold nose and paws kept firmly to himself. Just this once, maybe.
