I feel like I don't have much time to do the things I want anymore. I spend all my time working out what I will teach, teaching what I am teaching, deciding what to improve of my teaching and then preparing for the next day of teaching. My 8th graders are finishing up Merchant of Venice here shortly and the 7th graders are finished with The Pearl. I really don't like this going to holiday break coming back and having finals. I think having finals then break is better. The kids don't lose any knowledge/studying over the 2 weeks and then the teachers have 2 weeks to grade all the finals. Ick. Ben and I are taking off early Saturday to drive up to Ashland Saturday night, then to Hood River Sunday - Tuesday. With my parents in Tualatin Wednesday-Friday. Once I get back down here to Campbell I have to create 2 English finals, which I wasn't planning on doing until the principal said it was a requirement and he wants to approve each one.
