Chaos
Well I survived the hell week. We were supposed to start classes on Monday, however the students schedules were not finished, so we couldn't have classes. Instead we had 'seminars'. No good there. Absolute chaos. Students not understanding where to go or who there teachers will be. Every day was different and more chaotic than the last. On Friday we gave tests to all the students. The school offers supplemental classes to help kids pass classes in English and Math. So all students had to be given a diagnostic test in math and English. Crazy. Then I found out that on Monday the 8th & 7th graders will have their schedules, but the 9th & 10th are out of luck. What is up with this? I know this is only the 2nd year this school has been up and running, but this is ridiculous. So I am hanging out here at Max/Kris's and Ben doesn't move down for another week. Meanwhile, I have to write up syllabuses and English curriculum for 7th & 8th graders. At least I'm full time now with benefits. I will try to be better with updating, but it is my first year of teaching so no guarantees. Tootles.
