I've always had a love for comedy in general, but have never expressed it in picspam form. These have been tough times for some of us, and we could all use a good laugh. Now more than ever I appreciate the laughs that some of my favorite comedians of today bring me. Whether it's on a sitcom, during stand-up, or on late night television, these comedians always manage to make my day (or night) better just by telling a simple joke, and making me laugh. I've chose to do my picspam on these comedians I'm loving right now because I haven't done it before, but also because I have a new found appreciation for them.
Tina Fey
I adore Tina Fey. She's hilarious and stunning. Truthfully, she made me feel awesome for wearing glasses. She was hilarious on SNL and is still hilarious on 30 Rock.
Amy Poehler
Amy's always been one of my favorite SNL castmembers ever. All of the characters she's played and created, she's pretty amazing. That Sarah Palin rap on Weekend Update? All her.
Seth Meyers
Seth get's a lot of unncecessary hate from a lot of people. But he's a seriously funny guy. He did stand up in my area not too long ago, and he was hilarious. He does a great job as a solo Update anchor, as well as headwriter.
Bill Hader
My favorite SNL castmember. He's brilliant. His impressions are amazing. He's becoming a bigger and bigger star, and he deserves it, as he was constantly overlooked in his first few years on SNL.
Steve Carell
I first discovered Steven when he and Stephen Colbert did Even Stephven on The Daily Show. He was awesome. He's done some movies, but it's The Office that stands out to me. It's my favorite show, and he just brings the lols every Thursday night.
Russell Brand
Russell also got a lot of unnecessary hate when he hosted the VMAs the first time. I knew of him before then because of Noel Fielding. He's truly hilarious and his stand up never fails to make me laugh realy, really hard. Ponderland and his old radio show were also absolutley hilarious and I still listen to them.
The Lonely Island (Andy, Jorma, Akiva)
Come on, "Dick in a Box", "Jizz in my Pants", "I'm on a Boat"? That entire album they have is hilarious. Their digital shorts are some of the best. Whenever I'm in a bad mood I just pop in that CD and laugh my ass off. These guys are funny as hell.
Conan O'Brien
I grew up with Conan so I prefer him over just about every other late night talk show host. From the dancing, to the hilarious bits he does, to his recent poking fun at his own injury. Conan brings me laughter 5 nights a week and I love it.
Stephen Colbert
It's Stephen Colbert. I get a lot of my news from hin and Jon Stewart. Their covererage of the election was priceless. And if you haven't read his book, you seriously should.
Mindy Kaling
Mindy writes some of the best episodes of The Office, AND she's a castmember. She's awesome as the super annoying girly girl Kelly Kapoor. But not just that, her stand up acts have made me laugh so hard. I think she's underrated and more people should know of her.
