hey.
my boyfriend & i are taking a trip to NYC in about 8 weeks time. it'll be our first visit, and we currently reside in the UK. being in our 20's and having interests such as music (rock/indie/emo/hc), photography, anime/manga, diy culture etc etc... we're looking for recommendations of places to go, things to see, after the hum-drum typical tourist spots. we're not planning on going further out of the city than manhattan, so anything in that kind-of area.
obviously in the uk we dont have much access to decent/rare manga books, anime mags, no vinyl figures etc... without paying a fortune. where are the best places to go?
