Down the rabbit hole

Jan 13, 2008 12:26

Hey everyone, it's been ages...as you can see school has started and I'm back to me once-a-week posting schedule...:S It was so much fun being able to post so often during the break, I'm looking forward to when this semester ends^^

As it is I'm going to be a little more busy than last semester cause my classes have moved around a little bit...dear flist, please forgive me if I'm taking too long to get back to you or am lost in space for awhile>_< I'll do my best...^^;
Now, the exciting stuff...Ohno's exhibition!! That's so fantastic, I'm so proud of him!:D No wonder Nino was so eager to tell everyone (how cute;P). If only the exhibition could last all year...>_< But I'm looking forward to seeing the photobook, I'm sure it will be amazing:3 Sasuga Riidaa...and I'm sure all the boys will go to see itX3 I can't wait to hear their opinions on it^^ And of course I pre-ordered the new singleXDD Yay~, I was hoping for more songs to listen to (and translate:D), only have to wait a month and a half (why does shipping take so long?:S) But I'm sure they'll spoil us before then;P
Last week I saw Sweeney Todd with a couple friends, it was really good! Of course, I lovce Tim Burton so I'll watch anything he makes;) And Johnny Depp doesn't hurt eitherXD I saw that it just came out in Japan, I hope Jun goes to see it soon;) It's very dark and violent, but still really good...just kinda shocking in parts;P And last night I saw War...which was very disappointing:S But I really want to see the next Batman movie~X3 I was always a huge fan, and the new series is too awesome...and I had to read it myself to believe that Heath Leger is the Joker! Seriously, I never would have guessedO_O Amazing...it'll be fantastic, as long as they don't get bogged down by the love interest like last time^^;

Today I have the translation of the Shukudai-kun from 07.10.15, where they show the deleted scenes from Odoroki 3=)

Ogura: Arashi's Homework begins~~~!
Sho: Yay~!
[Announcer: Tonight on Arashi's homework we do a big release of valuable scenes that we couldn't broadcast in yesterday's Odoroki no Arashi!
Experiments of the Century that even Scholars can't predict Special 3. From the 'leave-it' experiments as well, some scenes that unfortunately had
to be left out will be brought to light. Furthermore, the experiment that caused a big reaction: they tried to see how someone would be reflected if
they got inside a giant circular mirror. Inside this giant circular mirror they're going to try a new experiment? The experiment's surprising result
is...? Filled with precious clips, Arashi's Homework.]
Sho: This week ne, for Odoroki no Arashi , that we broadcast yesterday, there were scenes that were funny, that didn't make it into the show, and
that were cut ne, and tonight we'd like to show the missed clips, the precious clips from that.
Aiba: I see.
Jun: The ones that were unfortunately not able to be in it ne.
Sho: That's right ne. But, I think by seeing you'll understand that each and everyone one has its own reason ne.
Nino: Is that so?
Sho: This time the 'leave-it' ones ne, were put on air, but how was it? (writing) Did all of them go on air?
Nino: No no. They weren't all on air the last times either. (writing)
Jun: With that there's times they take out about half of it ne?
Nino: That's right ne.
Aiba: If you thought it out first you wouldn't shoot it, after all.
Nino: We wouldn't ne, if we thought about it-
Aiba: That's just kind of a 'let's do it!' thing?
Nino: That's right ne.
Ohno: That's right ne.
Ogura: There's got to be horrible failures from time to time right? (writing)
Nino: There's lots of those.
Ohno: Yeah, there are.
Ogura: Lots??
Sho: Like what kind?
Ohno: The apple and the pear, were really...ne... (writing)
Nino: That's right ne. Other than that, the daikon half ne.
Aiba: So you did that with the daikon?
Nino: We did.
Ohno: We did ne.
Nino: We did it.
Jun: Amazing. Amazing, they erased that fact.
Sho: Are there any other shelved clips?
Aiba: We went into zero gravity ne.
Jun: We did ne.
Aiba: We also did a fair number of them, but this time there's just one that wasn't in it. (writing)
Jun: It wasn't in it ne.
[Announcer: That would be this here. If you were to put a water boiler upside down in zero gravity and take water out what would happen?,
that kind of experiment. The stage for the zero gravity experiments is a high speed jet. Using this jet they do a rapid ascent at 800km/h. At the apex
it results in about 20 seconds of zero gravity. Aiba and MatsuJun, whose very bodies were floating and bouncing around like nothing inside this
zero gravity world, did various experiments up there. First, we'll start with these experiments that were broadcast.]
Aiba: What will happen if you put dry ice in water in zero gravity? (writing) I'm putting in dry ice ne.
Jun: Yes.
Aiba: When you do that...these kind of bubbles come out ne.
Jun: Yes.
Aiba: And white smoke comes out.
Jun: Yes.
[Announcer In the end, what will happen with this in zero gravity?]
Jun: To begin with, what will happen to this water ne? (writing)
Aiba: It's possible that the water might float upwards ne. (writing)
[Announcer: To keep themselves from floating the two of them affic themselves with seatbelts and the experiment
finally begins. In the end...]
Aiba: my hand is heavy, My hand is heavy! I didn't think it would be this heavy-
Jun: Okay, here it is!
Aiba: I'm putting it in, I'm putting it in.
Jun: Okay!
[Announcer: Once in zero gravity the water is suddenly released.]
Sawamura: Eh, what's happening, what's happening?
[Announcer: And a big incident...]
Aiba: The camera! The camera! (writing)
[Announcer: Ah, the camera gets covered in water. Well then, what happened to the dry ice? Watch carefully.]
Jun: I can't hold it down, I can't hold it down!
Aiba: The water is...uwa, ah! The camera~! The dry ice is still...what's happening? The dry ice-
Jun: Ah, but smoke is coming out.
Aiba: It's in there? I can't see it. It's not-
Jun: There.
Aiba: The water's ama- uwa!
Jun: Why didn't it become easy to tell until this point?
Aiba; Ne. Even though the smoke was coming out now and then ne.
[Announcer: When you put dry ice in water in zero gravity conditions rather than small bubbles, large bubbles
appear. This is because in zero gravity the bubbles aren't affected by weight and float to the water's surface
without restraint and become one single unit. Midway through two large bubbles floated out, but this was their
upper limit; once gravity returns the bubbles go back to their normal size and the water bubbles again.]
Aiba: The experiment's result!
Jun: Yes!
Aiba: Dry ice doesn't bubble in zero gravity.
Jun: It doesn't.
[Announcer: And next is, what will happen if you eat ramen in zero gravity?]
Jun: This is it, the ramen.
Aiba: Yes. This is normal.
Jun: Yes, it's ready. So, thanks for the food.
Aiba: Yes. How is it?
Jun: Mm, it's the best!
Aiba: It's the best isn't it.Do your best!
Jun: Okay, I'm keeping it, I'm keeping it, I'm keeping it~!
Aiba: Keep it, keep it! Keep it! Eat it!
Jun: Thanks for the food!
Aiba: Yes. Go ahead.
[Announcer: Huh? That's weird. Where did the soup go?]
Aiba: Tasty?
Jun: Tasty!
Aiba: Give me some too. Ah, it's no good, it's no good. At this rate I'll lose it...Amazing.
Jun: Hey~!
Aiba: Amazing!
Jun: The incredibly strange thing about eating the ramen is, eating the noodles- when you eat the noodles
the solidified soup comes in at the same time! (writing)
Aiba: Like ankake? (starchy kudzu sauce)
Jun: That's right, that's right. That's the situation it comes in under. But it's extremely hard to eat. (writing)
[Announcer: That's right. In zero gravity an unexpected phenomenon occurs to the ramen. Somehow the instant it enters zero gravity the
overflowing soup disappears somewhere. And as you can see, as soon as the zero gravity ends the soup comes gushing out again. In actuality,
in zero gravity the surface tension of liquids gets stronger, having the effect of making it easier for them to cling to other objects. In the case
of the ramen the soup clings to each and every noodle. Furthermore, since the noodles are long and thin the surface area of the noodles that the
soup can cling to is increased, so it became a situation where it was like the noodles had sucked up all the soup. Which means that, in zero gravity
ramen broth disappears. From here on is the unaired experiment. If you were to put a water boiler upside down in zero gravity and take water out
what would happen?]
Aiba: We're going to take out water like this, so Matsumoto-kun please hold it like this.
Jun: Yes.
Aiba: Got it?
[Announcer: In normal gravity when you put the pot upside down and take out hot water it flows downward like this. However, it's Aiba's prediction
that in zero gravity the water will float upward under its own inertia when it comes out, like this. In the end... It's finally time for the experiment
to start.]
Jun: Uwa, here it is.
Aiba: Alright, alright.
Jun: Here it is, here it is~!
Aiba: Here I go, here I go! Catch it.
Jun: Okay. Hurry up, hurry up!
Aiba: It's not coming out at all. It's- it's not coming out at all.
Jun: It's not coming out? It's not coming out?;P
Aiba: It's not coming out at all.
Jun: Over here there's...there's tons over here.
Aiba: It's not coming out at all, ne. It's not coming out at all. Ah! It's coming out, it's coming out!
Jun: It's coming out, it's coming out!;P It's impossible~!
Aiba: The water in the pot doesn't come out! (writing)
[Announcer: The result is that rather than coming out from the spout the hot water trickles out from the top. What the heck is this tedious farce?]
Aiba: it's not coming out at all. The experiment's result: the hot water won't come out, but the experiment's result: it won't come out of the pot.]
Ogura: So, you're saying that the reason that one wasn't broadcast is because the director had to take responsibility for it? (writing)
Jun: Ah, well I think that's how it is.
Ogura: Who is it? The director. (writing)
Jun: Hino-chan! (writing)
Sho: Hino-chan! (writing)
[Announcer: Director Hino, please explain.]
Hino: Since when we tried to turn it upside down and take water out like normal on the ground it didn't come out, it won't come out on the airplane
either. (writing)
Ogura: So the pot, when you put it upside down and pressed on it from below, even then water didn't come out of the pot?
Hino: Well, we realized it after we got down again. (writing)
Nino: It's not like that's free right? (writing)
Ogura: That costs a lot of money doesn't it.
Aiba: How much was it again?
Hino: One flight is 3 million yen.
Sho: That much-?
Hino: Well, with everything included, 4 million yen.
Sho: Ehh~?
Nino: You're asking what the problem is, he was the director for the 'leave-it' ones too. (writing)
Ogura: Ah, is that so?
Nino: He's a director with an incredibly low accuracy rate! (writing)
[Announcer: Well then, here are the unaired clips from the 'leave-it' experiments. If you leave various fruits and vegetables in molds what happens?
First we'll start with these ones that were maginifcent successes. First, the squash and the star-shaped mold.]
Nino: When you leave a squash in a star-shaped mold...this is how it grows!
[Announcer: So, in the end...?]
Ai: Why? You're kidding!
Nino: This kind of seems like it's turned into one ne.
Ohno: This ne...
Rinka: Ah~! Ah~! (writing)
[writing: Star-shaped?]
Nino: This ne...
Ai: What is this?
Nino: Amazing~! Oh-kay, this will-
Rinka: Amazing!
Ohno: The squash is amazing!
Nino: Look!
Ohno: Uwa~.
[Announcer: Next, the star-shaped watermelon.]
Nino: When you leave it in a star-shaped mold this is what happens! Isn't this cute?
Ai/Rinka: Cute~!
Nino: Uwa, amazing~! Look everyone.
Rinka: Oh, this'll be okay. Cute~.
[Announcer: Once something is successful their ambitions naturally get higher. And from now on is the unaired clip. They also left a daikon in a
star-shaped mold and left it.]
Nino: And you two? What do you think will happen?
Ai: I think it'll probably go well. (wriitng)
Nino: And for what reason is that?
Ai: I don't have a particular reason... (writing) Just a hunch... I want it to go well.
Nino: Like, it'll probably go well, right?
Ohno: Go;P
[Announcer: Without delay they try unearthing them, and...]
Nino: Uwa.
Rinka: Uwa, amazing!
Nino: When you look at it from here it's a star huh.
Rinka: It's a star ne.
Ohno: This could work couldn't it?
Nino: What's happening with this?
Ohno: This could work huh.
Nino: Okay, I'm opening it. This is what happens when you leave a daikon in a star-mold!
[Announcer: In the end...? What will happen if you leave a daion in a star-shaped mold?]
Nino: Okay, I'm opening it. This is what happens when you leave a daikon in a star-mold!
[Announcer: In the end...?]
Ohno: What?
[writing: where's the daikon?]
Ai: What, what? What what? We should have just pulled it out from above ne. (writing)
[Announcer: Just in case they try comparing it to another daikon that was planted at the same time.]
Nino: What do we do about this~? Even though we worked this hard ne.
[writing: A dirty shame...]
Nino: What...what is this?
[Announcer: It's not just confined to daikon, but it's common sense that it absorbs nutrients through the root. Since that nascent root is shut inside
a star-shaped case the daikon was nutrient-deficient and didnt grow. Moronic ne. Which is why it was cut. Next, f you stick together cut halves of a
a baby melon and watermelon and leave it, how will it grow? Upon which the melon and watermelon stuck together well, but...from here on is the
failed experiment that went unaired. If you stick an apple and pear together and leave them how will it grow?]
Nino: If you stick and apple and pear together and grow them this is what happens, tada!
Rinka: Scary~! Scary~!
Nino: Shall we try opening them?
Rinka: Let's take a look.
Ai: Eww~.
Nino: Ah, it stinks~!
[Announcer: When they look at the other ones...]
Ai: Insects! Insects...
Nino: It's insects, insects. (writing)
Rinka: It's the insects' fault!
Nino: When you stick an apple and pear together insects are born? Isn't that how it is? You-
Ohno: It's the great discovery of the century isn't it!
Ai: Scary..
[Announcer: An unavoidably grotesque outcome. You cna't show this in primetime!]
Sho: Is there somebody else who has some cut clips?
Aiba: Yes! (writing)
Nino: You have a lot today!
Aiba: The mirrorman. The mirror experiments.
Sho: That was broadcast wasn't it.
Aiba: No no, you're wrong, they only showed one part of it. (writing) Ne, you went with me ne, there was quite a lot ne, like walking around in the
city... (writing)
Nino: The part inside the city got cut?
Sho: It was cut.
Ogura: Everyone saw the 'inside the city' in the studio didn't they. (writing)
Aiba: We saw that in the studio right? Just a bit a go they were whispering to me 'Aiba-chan, 'inside the city' got cut, it got cut'.
Ogura: That was super funny wasn't it?
Aiba: It was funyn wasn't it?
Nino: That was interesting.
Aiba: The invisible man series... (writing)
Nino: That's right, that's right.
Sho: There's a mirrorman clip?
Aiba: Let's have them look at the mirrorman clip. It's an intimate creation, so please take a look.
Aiba/Nino: If you stick mirrors to whole your whole body can you become an invisible person? (writing)
Nino: You can't. (writing) There's no way you can.
[Announcer: If you were to attach mirrors to your whole body the scenery around you would be reflected in those mirros gradually erasing your
outlines and making you an invisible person...or so says Aiba. So, on the beach, in the woods, and actually in the city, they tried it out. Without delay,
here's the entrance of the mirrorman who's stuck mirrors to his whole body.]
Aiba: Huh? You can see me? (writing)
Nino: Yes! Right now I can see you quite clearly.
Tetsurou: I've started getting super super uneasy. (writing)
Aiba: You're kidding!
Tetsurou: Its it okay Aiba-kun?
Nino: I thought you'd be able to do it a little better!
[Announcer: First they're doing the experiment on the beach. In a place where there's nothing but sand perhaps he'll blend in and become an
invisible person.]
Nino: How would the preparations be coming along?
Aiba: The preparations are done! 3 seconds to the invisible person! 3, 2, 1 tada! (writing)
[Announcer: In the end, did he become an invisible person?]
[writing: Sarcastic laughter]
Tetsurou: Ninomiya-kun. (writing)
Nino: Yes.
Tetsurou: What reaction should I make to this...? This is terrible! Beyond terrible! (writing)
Aiba: How is it?
Nino: You're being completely captured by all cameras.
Aiba: They caught me??
Tetsurou: This si terrible...
Aiba: So I'm not blending into the beach?
[Announcer: Completely unable to become an invisible preson at the beach...]
Aiba: I'll become Aiba Masatree! (writing)
[Announcer: Which means that, after the beach they move to the woods.]
Aiba: I think it'll be completely fine.
[Announcer: And actually, from here on is unaired clips. This is what happened behind the scenes.]
Nino: So, Aiba-san, when you've finished your preparations, if you please.
Aiba; Okay, here I go.
Tetsurou/Nino: Yes.
Aiba: 3 seconds until you both turn around, 3, 2, 1, go ahead!
Tetsurou: oh! (writing)
Nino: Huh? (writing)
Tetsurou: Amazing! Aiba-kun, you're amazing! (writing) I have no idea!
Nino: I have no idea. Aiba-san...
[Announcer: Anyone would have been surprised that mirrorman Aiba became a completely invisible person, when...]
Tetsurou: Aren't you just hiding?
Nino: That's how much we can't tell.
Tetsurou: We can't tell!
Aiba: Sorry! I went to go pee! (writing) Sorry. Eh, were you waiting for me?
[writing: Toilet break?]
Aiba: Sorry, the bathroom-
Tetsurou: What the heck~? You jerk~.
Nino: What the heck was that just now~?
[writing: Seriously despondent]
Aiba: I went to go pee. Sorry! Huh? Sorry, not yet, I'll go get ready so face backwards ne.
Tetsurou: Geez~~
Aiba: I;ll go-
Tetsurou: And I was so surprised too! Give it abck, that surprise just now! (writing)
[Announcer: From here on is the scene that was broadcast.]
Aiba: 3 seconds until you two turn around, 2, 1, go ahead! (writing)
Tetsurou: oh! (writing)
Nino: Huh? (writing)
Tetsurou: Eh, do you know? Cause I seriosuly have no idea.
Nino: No, I seriously don't know either.
Tetsurou: Huh? I really have no idea. (writing)
Nino: It's kind of a plant-like ina way.
Aiba: Plant-like?
Nino: But this works fairly well ne~. (writing)
Tetsurou: Ne.
Nino: Because the whole surface is green.
Aiba: Well ne...
[writing: he gave it away!]
[Announcer: Which means that, in the middle of the woods he becamse just a bit of an invisible person. Sorry to keep you waiting, from here on its
the unaired 'inside the city' portion.]
Aiba: There's one more place that I want to go to! I thought of a slightly more practical way to become an invisible man. (writing)
Nino: Despite you saying 'practical' ne... (writing) So, Aiba-san said he wanted to do it no matter what, so...we've come to this shopping arcade.
Aiba-san, can you hear me?
Aiba; I can hear you~. Just how much have I become an invisible person, and am able to walk unnoticed through the shopping arcade... (writing)
Nino: I'm just going to confirm that, you're okay with 'practical' ne? (writing)
Aiba: It's practice. (writing)
Nino: I see.
Aiba: Yes. So, please look in 3, 2, 1, go!
[Announcer: So, was mirrorman Aiba able to become an invisible person? it's shocking! Aiba has mirrors stuck to his whole body. The location is
the middle of the city. Furthermore, he's aiming to become an invisible person. In the end, will Aiba be able to become an invisible person?]
Aiba: Yes. So, please look in 3, 2, 1, go!
Nino: He's coming, he's coming.
Tetsurou: Why...?
Aiba: No one's catching on right. How about it?
Tetsurou: What the heck is this?;P
Nino: We're just going to check.
Aiba: Please check.
Nino: Yes.
Aiba; The fact that I haven't met eyes with anyone is because they don't notice right.
Tetsurou: Well, there's certainly no reaction to the point of horror ne! (writing) Ne! Why could that be ne.
Nino: There isn't ne.
Aiba: How was it? Ne? How was it?
Nino: Um, I think it's a question of whether you were able to become one (invisible person) or not! (writing)
Aiba: That's right, that's right.
Nino: That's not it! Everyone was ignoring you... (writing)
Aiba: Eh?
Tetsurou: In a certain sense you did become an invisible person.
Nino: You did.
Aiba: it was in that sense?
Nino: In that sense you completely became one.
Sho: Well then, right now MatsuJun-
Jun: Yes.
Sho: -has an experiment that he wants to try so. (writing)
Jun: I do. The mirror-
Sho: -the circular one... (writing)
Jun: The circular one, I really really want to get inside that one. (writing)
[Announcer: The one that MatsuJun wanted to do was the experiment about 'how would someone be reflected if they got inside a circular mirror?'
Which means that they had the circular mirror on stand-by in the studio.]
Nino: Do your best!
Aiba: Go for it.
[Announcer: MatsuJun, take care in the mystical mirror world!]
Sho: Well then, let's try turning on the light. If you please!
Jun: This is kind of amazing ne.
Sho: Right on the other side there's another one of you right?
Jun: Well ne, when I take a look around there's 3 of me ne. Uwa, amazing.
[writing: Matsumoto is reflected multiple times]
Jun: When I look behind me there's 3 of me.
Sho: It's a Matsumoto festival.
Jun: Okay, I'm going to back up~.
Sho: Yes.
Jun: I'm getting more and more blurry. Huh? Oh, there it is! Right here there's a completel opposite of me. This is amazing! Isn't it right here?
Sho: An upside-down you right?
Jun: An upside-down me.
Sho: There's an upside-down you, definitely.
Jun: The face is veru strong.
Sho: That goes without saying doesn't it.
Ogura: It seems kind of like it's floating to you deson't it MatsuJun?
Jun: That's right ne.
Ogura: it looks pretty close doesn't it?
Sho: But, right now it's fairly close in circumstance, trying to doing a high-five right now. Look.
[writing: A 3D-type image is reflected]
Ohno: Ah, it's doing a high-five.
Sho: That's it. That's really a 3D-type-
Ogura: MatsuJun, is it close to you?
Jun: Really ne, it's right here.
Sho: If you don't mind we'd like to get you out of there sooner than later. We're quite satisifed with it now.
Jun: You're satisfied? Welcome back.
Ogura: Welcome back.
Jun: I'm back~.
Ogura: You safely returned alive.
Jun: What could it be, it's the sensation that you're inside a kaleidoscope. (writing)
[Announcer: At which point a person who wants to get inside the circular mirror...]
Ogura: Somehow ne, it seems there's a person who wants to get inside there. (writing)
Nino: Who?
Ogura: He said he's an invisible person. (writing)
Sho: Haven't we had enough of the mirrorman??
Aiba: Huh? You can see me? (writing) You can see me?
Nino: I mean, we can this part of you of course. The black.
Aiba: Ah, you can see me?
Nino: I'm telling you we can see you.
[Announcer: In actuality, Aiba says he thought up this new experiment for inside the circular mirror.]
Aiba: Going inside this mirror, wearing these full-body mirrors, you'd definitely disappear I think. Everything would be reflected right. So I think then
I could become an invisible person, that's how I am thinking.
Nino: I'm terribly sorry but, we'll get you to do that later... (writing)
Aiba: No no,!
Ogura: Just go ahead and try it;P
Sho: Try it.
Aiba: Let's try it.
[Announcer: Did he suddenly become an invisible person? The unbelievable conclusion. If mirrorman Aiba, who has mirrors covering his whole body,
gets inside the circular mirror will he be able to become an invisible person?]
Sho: So, well then, please turn on the light inside, if you please~!
Aiba: Ne, how is it? How is it?
Ogura: You're disappearing!
Sho: Oh! This is...
Aiba: I disappeared?
Sho: You're disappearing...
Ogura: You're disappearing!
Ohno: You're disappearing!
Sho: Isn't that kind of an exaggeration...?
Aiba: I'm moving. Amazing!
Sho: When you move you can certainly tell, but..
Aiba: How about when I stop?
Ohno: Invisible isn't he.
Ogura: You become insivible.
Aiba: I am right.
Sho: How do you see yourself?
Aiba: I can't see anything!
Nino: You shouldn't say that, don't say that.
Aiba: I can't see anything!
Ogura: Well, certainly-
Aiba: In here I'm invisible?
[writing: crash]
Aiba: Ne?
Ogura: You look invisible.
Nino: It kind of sounded like something feel just now.
Aiba: Amazing!
Jun: Something came off.
Nino: Mirrorman, it sounded like one of your mirrors fell off just now.
Aiba: It fell? Surely it's okay?
Nino: The sound was kind of..
Aiba: Uwa, amazing!
Nino: Your shoulder's coming out. Your shoulder!
[writing: right arm]
Ohno: Something did fall off.
Nino: We can see your shoulder right now ne.
Aiba: You're kidding.
Jun: We can see your right shoulder.
Aiba: I can't see it, not at all.
Nino: Mirrorman, I'm terribly sorry but,...when Mirrorman is looking at it he probably can't see himself, but...
Aiba: Yes?
Nino: We are completely aware of it.
Aiba: Huh? Everyone can make out where I am?
Nino: Yes.
Ogura: Right noe ne, since your face isn't completely hidden you probably can't see it, but if you were really cleanly covered in mirrors you'd probably
disappear ne.
Sho: That's right ne.
Nino: So that means there is definitely a place where you could disappear.
Ogura: While holding those expectations...-alright, at this point....
Sho: Shall we end it?
Nino: Thanks for your hard work!
Ogura: Alright, thanks for the hard work~!
Sho: We're going to end here Aiba-kun!
Aiba: Okay~.
Sho: Please give us some closing words from there.
Aiba; The experiment's result: scary! (writing) Hurry up and open it.
{they ask for 'what did you do last night?' for Kobayashi Mao-chan and Tamura Kenji-san.}
Nino: take it off.
Aiba: Yes, um, I'm Aiba, hi there.
Nino: Hi there.
Aiba: Hi there, um...

Hahaha, poor AibaXDDD Just abandonning him in there with his mirrors;P And I'm sure they could always be like 'we couldn't see you, we thought you got out'XD But that city mirrorman one was hilarious...especially when Nino's like 'it's not that they don't see you, they're just ignoring you'XDDD More! More mirrorman please;P And Jun playing patty-cake with his double inside the mirror ball was pretty cute too:3 But the best was when those two were trying that hot water experiment and Jun's flying all over, then just falls on the ground...only to find out the AD didn't check the thermos beforehand;P Tsk tsk...;)
And I nearly killed myself laughing when Nino and Degawa were trying to find Aiba...and he comes running up the road saying he went to go peeXDDDDD Ah, Aiba baby, don't ever change...<3

Plus, I just had to do Jun's latest Roadshow article as soon as possibleX3

Matsumoto Jun's Talk Session, Hug A Movie

Arashi's Matsumoto Jun talks in depth about movies!
The movie in this second issue of the serial is [Rumblefish].
For him, who was 'trying to appear smart up until age 20', what is 'the point where a boy becomes a man?'

- This month it's Coppola-sensei's [Rumblefish]. This time is it the first time you've seen it?
Yes. Although I had been intrigued by it... This movie gives the feeling of being kind of far off I guess.
- I'd like an honest opinion but, what did you think at first when you saw it?
From the beginning it continually left an impression of being cool, and the fight scenes were over in the blink of an eye. But, from
then on it got kind of hard to understand, that would be my honest impression. Mickey Rourke was unequivocally cool though.
- There were some initiation (rite of passage) words right? That men must surpass their father-figures at some point.
So James (Matt Dillon) will surpass his older brother Bike Boy (Mickey Rourke)...
- That's right. [Apocalypse Now] is about Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) going upriver to kill Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando). Ultimately,
Colonel Kurtz is a father-figure type being to Captain Willard, so in terms of surpassing him... It's said they're displaying the circumstances
of a boy becoming a 'man'. Coppola-sensei said that (laughs). So, from what he says, [Rumblefish] is
a teen version of [Apocalypse Now]. So, to go even further, [The Outsiders] would be the teen version of...
[The Godfather]?
- Correct! So, Matsumoto-san, have you yourself ever been conscious of this so-called surpassing of the father-figure?
Perhaps faintly in parts of my own private life. But it might be there amidst the ties of Johnny's ne.
- That's very interesting...
The sempai at the Jimusho, I dare say, are amazing after all. Many people have their own individual areas of which I'm able to think
'this person's amazing at this'. But, beyond just doing that in this world, though I respect that, I think that I have to surpass it.
In that way what I think and the sensation of an initation-type thing might be close.
- Young people today easily use words like respect, but I think it's a talent to be able to think 'this person's amazing' amidst the
many people about whom you could say 'Even I could do that if I tried ne'. I mean, being able to think that someone is 'amazing' is
something you can't do if you can't look properly at yourself.
That's right ne.
- Yeah, that's what I think. On what kind of occasions are you able to think someone is 'amazing', Matsumoto-san?
It's hard to express in words. For example, when watching a certain person giving a performance I don't think things like 'I've beat them'.
It's not like that, since our personalities are different to begin with. For that person It's not like they have an alluring flow
of time or story. At the time when you see that alluring thing you cannot honestly fail to acknowledge it ne. I think they're probably
blessed with it. There's a lot of people around me who make me think that. Although that's not just confined to Johnny's.
- You said 'cannot fail to acknowledge it', but isn't that unpleasant (laughs). I mean, wouldn't that mean that you're acknowledging
that they're 'above me'?
Hahaha. Well, that's, that's how it is. It's the feeling of acknowledging it despite not wanting to acknowledge it I guess ne.
- Since when have you been able to judge things fairly like that?
I guess since about when I passed age 20...
- So conversely, up until age 20?
I was trying to appear smart ne (laughs).
- I think that's fabulous too (laughs).
At that time my world was really small, I didn't want it to be broken down. Because inside my world I excluded everything that I couldn't
understand, or that was depressing. I said things like 'that's tasteless' or 'it doesn't suit me'.
- Because it's easier ne, to exclude things in that way.
Yeah. Because you can run away from it ne. So, since I didn't like troublesome things my stance was 'I do what I do, everyone else
can do what they like'. But then I came to think that you can't make something good that way. It's a given but, for example in today's
photoshoot, it's when the cameraman, the stylist, the hair and make-up people are there that you can begin to do the photoshoot...
There's a lot of people, and I've become able to think that making one thing together with those people is fun, and on top of which
you can make something good ne.
- You've matured... It's not in this movie, but would there have been a period where you thought 'I don't wanna grow up'?
Even now (laughs). Somehow, there are times when I see guys trying to appear smart I feel a little envious.
- It looks like you've mellowed quite a bit ne.
Although there are people who say 'you haven't mellowed at all' too ne (laughs).

They went surprisingly deep for just an interview about movies ne...:3 I've never seen Rumblefish, but I read the Outsiders in school a long long time ago...I remember it being a very good book, and can only imagine what the movie would be like, especially with Coppola directing. But I'd never heard that, that Coppola said Rumblefish is a teen version of Apocalypse Now! How interesting...that's definitely food for thought^^ But naturally the best part was when he talked about collaborations and how his attitude towards the world had to change first to judge talent fairly. I wonder if everyone goes through that stage, where it's just easier to run away from whatever is outside yourself, when it's scary to change the world you've built no matter how tiny and dark it is...I know I spent many years in such a world. I'm impressed that he can talk so easily about it, and thankful that he shared his thoughts:3 And I don't want to grow up either most of the timeXD (who does?) The picture suits the tone of the interview perfectly<3

On the way from an appointment to work the other day Na!Na!Na! suddenly popped up on my mp3 player, and it was like hearing it for the first time...I'd never really listened closely to it before, it always took a back seat to Kitto Daijoubu for me. But for some reason that day it really resonated with me (and that's one of the things I lvoe most about music, that the same tune can suddenly mean everything:3)...I had it o replay for a bit, and then of course I had to translate it:)

I still can't put my finger on what inspired me, but I think it was the joyful feeling of embarking on a new adventure and parting from the past. More and more lately Arashi is doing a good job of covering themes that they haven't done before, and it's getting close to the point where they'll have a song for my every mood^^ I understand better now why this song was so highly ranked on Jun's single countdown on his radio show:3

Lastly, there was more hoarfrost the other day, and even prettier than last time!X3

I took these by a highway near my apartment, right where I get off the bus from school^^

There's some prairie lands that they keep wild so that there will be nature around:3

They even made pathways through it so you can wander amidst the trees and grasses...this picture reminds me a little of the Robert Frost poem about two roads diverging in a yellow wood^^

This tree looks almost like cotton canday:D

Somehow the grasses stay brown even when the snow flies, it makes a nice color contrast...

Here's a better close-up of the forst crystals on a pine tree:3 Like little diamond shards.

A peek into the woods...

Long view of the strip of prairie land by the highway. There's a falcon that lives around here, I saw it soaring on the thermals above last summer^^

A lone leaf trapped in the frost.

The frost makes even mundane things like chain-link fences look pretty:D

I had to wait forever to get this shot! The birds are really skittish, so I had to stay very still and try to creep closer before they flew away>_< But it's my favorite out of all of them:3

Well, have a great week everyone~:) I hope you're all making your way through the various obstacle courses in your lives with a smile in your heart if not on your face:3 There's beauty all around...

どうして寂しさにすぐ落ちているのかな。。。私を本当に理解出来るや愛される人が欲しいだけです。。。いつまで待たなければならないんですか?

hoarfrost, arashi
