I find Twitter quite useful for my purposes. Before I left, my bff and I used to text each other throughout the day with random thoughts, or if anything amusing caught our eye. We couldn't really do that once I got here, but eventually we started using Twitter for that same purpose, on a lesser scale. We can even send our tweets via text, and although I can't get outgoing texts cause of my location, she can get my tweets directly to her phone, and I can catch up when I get home. It's silly, but I think it's pretty cool that we're able to maintain our tradition on other sides of the world.
It's also a really cool way of getting a chance to see and talk to "celebs" as actual people, especially since they're able to respond directly to their admirers in an unconventional setting.

Roxie!!! I was thinking exactly that. I mean, I was talking to my SO about the same exact thing. I don't find it silly at all. And I think it's wonderful about you and your friend. I just find my thoughts to be sillier and to have myself think anyone would be interested in my thoughts escapes me.

As I was creating mine, I was finding it amusing that the whole time I spent reflecting on David Lynch's page, I will keep reminding him how much I love him.
