Well, one update a month is cool, right?
So I've been a week at Wittenberg and the classes I wanted to take, German and Astronomy, are great. I love them and the teachers so much, while the classes I have to take, Global Change and Statistics, aren't so inspiring. Tutor Training, which lasts for half the semester, falls in the neutral area.
I'm working in the language lab as a Japanese tutor despite not taking Japanese this year, and I kinda like it. Though my speaking is definitely rusty and everyone else seems so much more natural speaking. So I need practice with people.
It's almost like being a freshman again here because I only recognize people from my class and maybe a few juniors (and the last time I saw them, they were freshmen!!). So it's like being a newbie all over again, except I actually know how to get places and feel entitled because of that.
The homie and I have a house with two cats, and it's great. Except for the whole forraging for food by ourselves and having unruly loud neighbors. Luckily, after the first weekend here, it's hard to tell when they're having sex up there. But I was talking to Lasse today and he said when he and his roommates had neighbors sexing loud, the roomies went out and shouted, "Put a sock in her mouth!!" and the sex stopped. So I am definitely going to have to remember that in case I need to use that in the future.
Well, Shea and his parents are going to Japan in January. At first, I was utterly pissed cuz I was there for a freaking 9 months and invited him so many times to fly over so I could show him around and he kept turning me down. Now that I've cooled off, I'm trying to be helpful. Trying. His mother is being a stupid white tourist, though, in all her ideas. And I despise her for that.
Back to Witt, I definitely think there's been a change in all the people who've gone overseas, but especially to Japan. Because I hung out with them a lot more and can more easily see the difference. I totally think they're more mature, and it's so interesting how more mature they are compared to two years ago. There is such a difference in maturity level in the 4 years here, it's kind of astounding.
Anyway, nearly 11 and I need to study German and read Astronomy for tomorrow. Since I actually care about those classes. :3
