Jin walked the streets of Tokyo aimlessly. He was supposed to be under house arrest per orders of the Jimusho. But how could he sit still? He couldn't. Not with Kame missing and his heart torn asunder.
It was all a lie.
A utter and complete lie.
He loved Kame. He loved him more than anything else in the world. More than could ever be measured by any human standard.
Kame was a different person when Jin came back from LA. Not in a bad way, of course. They fought more often than they did before, but it was petty things that were easily made up for by loving words and gestures.
Everyone thought their relationship changed for the worst, but the two of them knew that although they had changed, their relationship would not. They loved each other enough to grow around the other. To grow with each other.
But then she came into the picture and everything went to hell.
"Moping around about your boyfriend?" Jin looked up, eyes meeting hers with a deathly glare. "I've heard the rumors. He's not coming back, is he?"
"You don't know anything," Jin spat, turning around to walk in the other direction, but her next words stopped him.
"Oh, but I do."
His fist was in her collar in a second. "What the fuck did you do to him?!" He spat. "If you had anything to do with this, I'll--"
"You'll what?" she asked, eyes glinting. "Don't forget who has the upper hand, Akanishi Jin."
Jin's fist tightened before releasing and he turned away to conceal the growing anger.
"He'll be returned to you. But I'm almost certain that you won't want him back." Manicured nails trailed up the side of his arm and Jin resisted the urge to shiver. "And then I'll have you to myself."
"If you've done anything to harm him--"
"Don't threaten me, Akanishi Jin." He stopped short, eyes blazing with anger. He hated the way she said his name. The way she thought she owned him. "I'll do it, and you know I will."
Jin's shoulders slumped in defeat. "Just please...return him to me. At least let me know he's safe."
"He's safe," she assured him, but Jin didn't believe it. "He's being well taken cared of, I'm sure. As for him being returned to you, you have to promise me something."
"Anything."
"You'll marry me by the year's end."
