[fic] The Day the World Ended - Epilogue (KangTeuk)

Dec 14, 2010 23:31

Title: The Day the World Ended
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Mostly focused on KangTeuk and HyukSu, but other pairings will most likely abound. I'm just that bias.
Summary: What would you do if the world came to an end?
Warning: AU, end-of-the-world type scenario, un-beta'd, tense manipulating, and horrible ploting skills went in to the creation of this fic.
Notes: I started writing this four years ago, but never finished it. DBSK were still together then, so...yeah.

It was easy to open their lives for another five boys. They were already so close when they were younger, it didn't really matter too much to have them here.

Eeteuk watched with affection as Eunhyuk bounced around the house like he did before the end, depression another life now that Junsu was back in his. He went on scavenging hunts with the rest of the boys now. A relief, he knew, for the others who had watched grief slowly eat away at their friend.

The world was slowly recovering. There were traveling bands of people who brought back news of the people outside their ring of influence. Disaster was everywhere, but it looked like the survivors were beginning to build up the cities again.

There was talk among them to go on adventures outside of the dorms, to find lost family and bring them back here. Eeteuk understood this optimism, but was reluctant to have any of them leave the safety of their net. It was still a very dangerous world out there and he did not want any of his family in harms way. Maybe one day, though, when things weren't so chaotic. They'll bring back home more family and their street would not be dead, but alive once again.

"Jungsu?" Eeteuk turned away from his family, glancing over his shoulder at the boy that looked at him curiously. A smile touched his face and a wince marred his expression. Jangil had said it'd take a few months, but Eeteuk wasn't used to his body refusing to move when he told it to. "You alright?" Eeteuk chuckled at Kangin's concern. Kangin frowned. "I thought Jangil said to stay in bed."

"I'm not that fragile any more, Youngwoon." Eeteuk lifted his hands and moved around a bit. "See? All better."

"Don't care." Kangin wrapped an arm around Eeteuk's waist, careful of the still bandaged scars. "I'm putting you back to bed."

"No!" Eeteuk squealed a bit when Kangin started to pull him back into his room, the rest of his family taking notice and cheering Kangin on.

"Youngwoon and Jungsu, sitting in a tree..." Eeteuk blushed crimson at the insinuation and Kangin picked up his housesilpper and threw it at Changmin and Kyuhyun. But the damage was already done. The rest of the house had already erupted with the rhyme. There was no way he'd stop it now.

"Just you wait! I'm going to kill you all!" Kangin shouted at the lot of them, slamming the door to the room close.

Eeteuk made a weak protest when Kangin picked him off the ground and lowered him onto the bed. "You do know that they're probably sitting at the door listening right?" He whispered conspiratorially.

"Let them." Kangin growled and then raised his voice, moaning loudly. "OH YES, TEUKIE. I KNEW YOU WERE SPECIAL. OH GOD, RIGHT THERE. GIVE ME MORE, YES!"

A chorus of disgusted groans followed Kangin's outburst, Eeteuk's face red with embarrassment. "Youngwoon!" He hit the other playfully, frowning at his antics.

"It got them to stop listening." Kangin shrugged, planting a peck on Eeteuk's nose. "Besides, I think I have some things in mind for you anyway."

This time Eeteuk had a reason to blush.
