...Just talk about your dolls :) I can get on LJ still from work, but it is limited :( Haven't been up to much. Everything just breezes by. Thanksgiving was spent at Carlos' friends house, since having us be with my cousin's inlaws would have been too much drama. But my Mom and Dad had us over for dinner the next day and they all (including my bro) was able to meet Carlos. They loved him of course. My 30th birthday went well. Carlos and I met my parents and bro for dinner. Then we went to my parents house for cake and presents. For my bday Carlos took me to the Alhambra. He also made me a hoodie with Jem's face on it :) Another company that makes resin doll (that are another one of Superdoll's "competition") is Kinetic. I took the chance and bid on a repaint on Ebay:
My thoughts? Wow. It actually made me question how much I love my Sybarite dolls. I was thinking about how much money I'd be able to make if I sodl my whole Superdoll Sybarite collection. Then I'd just keep my Kinetic, use the money towards other things, and dress her ins cheaper Tonner clothes. Hmmmmm. I've still been throwing the idea around in my head. However, I love the couture that Superdoll makes. The fabrics, the quality. It's not mass produced. But its also one of those guilty pleasures. Sometimes I'll buy a doll outfit and be like "Whoa, I paid how much?" But then the happiness I get from dressing them seems to be worth it.
I did dress my Kinetic in some Tonner clothes, just to see that she can still acheive those fierce looks, even without the expensive Superdoll clothing:
I would hate to see off all of my Superdoll and Sybarite stuff, and them regret it. So for now, I'll keep them.
