She's T-A-S-T-E-Y!
Before I write about this, don't worry, I'm not doll crazy and buried in a sea of dolls. I've actually sold a lot of dolls that I have posted. Off of the island went the repaint by Yian, which resembled Carrie Bradshaw. The repaint was OK, but it just wasn't Carrie to me. Luckily, the person who I outbidded on Ebay was on my doll board, and she was more than happy to buy her from me. So no loss there, and I was able to make a doll person happy. I most recently sold Dollti D, which is that BJD I spent extra to get a new faceup, and still didn't bond with the guy. I actually lost profit on this guy, but it's ok, I've made enough on other sales. I also sold the Tattooed girl done by Cindy Wibowo. Though beautiful, I still just would rather stick with celebrity repaints. I'm probably going to selling a few others. Mainly because my collective tastes are changing. The two repaints who are never leaving me are Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. I could never get rid of those two and those are the girls who are on display 24/7. Anyhow, onto my next aqusition.
I've always been a big fan of Kedra Manning. She's got an edge and a style that I like in repaints. She usually doesn't do celebrity repaints, so I usually just look at her stuff. However, when I got home from Yoga and saw that she posted this beauty in her salesroom, I just had to have her:
She is inspired by Fergie, and that's enough to make me click the BUY button. A lot of work went into the doll in order to give her the eyebrow piercing and the rerooted highlights. The work was also done on a tan doll, which will give the doll the authentic bronze that Fergie seems to be. She was able to get the dragalicious eyebrows that Fergie possesses, so I can't wait to get this girl. Fergie is one of those celebs that I know has room in my collection. She meets all of the criteria. She's a mess, but in a good way, which makes the gays love her. Kinda like Tyra Banks (which I'm STILL looking for a doll of).
