A few months ago I sent my Dollti "D" to be repainted. Here's what he looked like the factory:
He was kinda plain. The faceup was alright, but I bought him with a flaw on the lower lid, so I KNEW I'd have to get him redone. I found a VERY affordable artist, who was very up and coming at the time. I'm glad I signed up for a commission before her prices got raised after she became more established. She did the faceup for a mere $60, which is a steal in the BJD world. The artist's name is Sera from Cherrystreet Dolls. Here's D's new face:
The only problem is that I was planning on selling D, since I was able to get a Haute Hound, who was pretty much the only BIG BJD I wanted. I figure I'll see how I bond with D when he arrives. Having 3 BJDs may not be TOO bad.
Ok, kinda on a side tangent, but here's what I LOVE:
This is something Sera did. You gotta love someone who will set up a little party for all of her dolls in a room and let them par-tay!
