Moving On

Everything for the most part is moved into the apt. I didn't sleep there last night as I didn't want to leave Hitch alone for too long, since I know he's in for a big change when we do go to the apt. The only thing left in my house are a few odds and ends, plus all my clothes on hangers. One thing I realized when moving is that even though I garage saled most of my stuff, I still have a lot more to go. I need to sell more of those doll and toys, as I just need to come to the realization that I don't need most of that stuff anymore. I think I'm coming to a stage in life, where I enjoy going out, eating, and doing stuff. Though I will admit, it is hard. I almost bidded on some stuff on ebay, but I fought the urge and didn't.

My parents and my bro were so sweet to help me out. I took them out to dinner afterwards, and it was nice to spend a family day together, though most of it was spent lugging my crap up the steps to my apt. The apt is very cute, and is just the right size for me and Hitch. I doubt I will keep many toys and dolls displayed, because simply, there is no use for them to be out since Hitch will attack them. There are only 2 problems and they aren't bad. The bathroom lights and outlets are not working, so I'm hoping that will be fixed today. The AC unit in the bedroom cannot be plugged into the outlets, since it needs a three prong outlet. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about that. The landlord said I could let her know of any problems and she'll get on them, so I'll make her a list. Other than that, it's a cute place and I'm already brainstorming what I'm going to do with the space. I hope that some of you will be able to come and check it out when I have it arranged. Or even if I don't have it arranged, as long as I know where the wine is, we'll still have a good time.

I did Garage Sale Part Deux and sold a few more odds and ends and got $69 dollars more. Yay for more money. My funds are all over the place and I'm trying to calculate it and make sure I don't overdo it anywhere. For example, I paid my mortgage for the month, yet I still wrote a check for rent, and the Uhaul, and etc. When the cut me the check at closing on Thursday, I want to make sure that I put most of it in the bank and only keep just what I need. I will use some to pay back some money I owed my parents, and I'm going to buy them Alhambra Tickets and some gift certificates, just as a little thank you for the loan and for letting me pay it in installments for all of these years (they loaned me a chunk for my closing costs when I bought the house 4 years ago). Then I need to use some money to pay for the gifts I've bought myself lately like the laptop, ipod, and Pony (the doll, not an actual pony:p). But all the rest will be put in the bank where I plan on letting it sit and acrue interest until the Rado House becomes available.

I have flirted with the idea of just renting the apt and not going for another house, but I think in the long run, I don't like renting as I'd want to "see" where the money is going. Anyhow, as you can see, I've had some stuff on my mind. Nothing serious or even personal, but just still enough to let you know how I'm doing.
